We have stayed at the Grasmere twice. The first time, their wifi was not working well, but that had been fixed by the time of our second visit. A pleasant location, with a very nice breakfast. Off-street parking is available, and there is a frequent bus service to Bristol and Bath.

My relatives regularly use this hotel when visiting our area for large family occasions and this included some Canadian relatives who attended a family wedding in July 2016. Staff are pleasant and food is good and the rooms are comfortable. My ratings are based on using the hotel bar facilities and feedback from relatives (from elsewhere in UK and from... More

This hotel is classed as 4star, it is actually staffed by kids, who are poorly supervised, my room was far from being 4star, it was a BOX, with a 4star price, and will not stay there ever again. if you go be very careful with the room and the room service. we came back in the evening after being out... Stayed here as a Base for visiting family. Had a spacious family room on the top floor. The hotel is lovely however the mattresses were ridiculously hard and we had a bad nights sleep. Would not stay here again. The 4 star rating has to be a joke

We stayed for one night for a family party, the Grasmere had large clean rooms, delicious breakfast and good service, although we didn't have dinner there that menu looked nice. We had a spacious room with four poster bed on the first floor, light and airy, the other room was a bit smaller but very clean. It was a convenient... More

Hotel nice and clean Service absolutely appalling. Arrived evening. Eventually found someone to book us in. Then told they would not have a table for us for dinner as they were full ! Residents have always had table allocated where I come from so not happy Breakfast. Waited/ignored for 10minutes so sat down. Eventually asked for coffee to be told... More

This was used as a base for travelling to Bath which means either a bus, or a train which is a 15 min walk. My room on the first floor was quiet but my friends were next to the desk and disturbed a lot by talking and by the phone. Wi fi not great. No Lift. Breakfast was fine. Not... More

The hotel was a base for me and some colleagues for one night and provided what we needed, nothing more and nothing less. The hotel owner was friendly and welcoming, who was willing to accommodate our requests - even printing a document when we required it and were without other options.

Used the hotel for 1 night. Hotel is pleasantly quaint and quirky with fantasticly helpful staff. Carpark facilities are a little cramped, but plenty of space on the adjacent roads if needed. Lovely breakfast served. Would recommend

This hotel has been recently refurbished and is very clean and comfortable with all the facilities you would expect. A comprehensive collection of hot drinks available in the bedrooms with biscuits. The bedrooms are a good size also the bathrooms. The dining room is light and airy and very pleasant on a sunny morning. The breakfast bar is attractive with... More
