I had great pleasure staying here for one night, wish it could have been for longer as the accommodations was delightful. Margot goes to exceptional lengths to ensure you have a all that is needed for comfort. It's very clean, tidy and welcoming. Breakfast was fresh and included mainly organic produce. Cannot recommend this enough. Hope I have the opportunity...

Margot runs this b and b with great attention to detail and it shows. Incredibly clean - beautiful rooms and the setting in the estate is just fantastic. Breakfast is perfect , healthy , all home made , and would not hesitate to stay here again , irrespective of using it for Gatwick , which is only 20 mins away.

We were a party of 4 and booked both doubles and a single and all were perfect with lovely fittings and very comfortable. It is the first place we have ever advised breakfast in advance but the quality was fantastic and Margot did an early breakfast for my husband and son so they could get off to Good wood which...

Margot provides great breakfasts and good advice for activities easily accessible from her B & B located well off the road in the middle of a large estate. A large shared sitting room in addition to the generous sized bedroom made this location ultra comfortable.

The Hyde Granary is located, almost hidden, in the Hyde Estate about a couple of miles from the village of Handcross. Not the easiest location to find and well worth downloading the location instructions before you travel. The Granary is a purpose built B&B and represents excellent value for money. The rooms (well the one I stayed in) are spacious,...

Beautiful house and very relaxing. A superb organic breakfast with fantastic poached eggs. I would recommend to fellow travellers and would definitely stay again if work brings me to Handcross in the future. Many thanks Margot!

We wonder if Margot really enjoys having guest. She welcomed us with a big smile, but there are signs that she will only have matters her own way. Upon entry in the light and airy Granary Suite, we immediately noticed how immaculately kept and clean everything was, to the point that the landlady feverishly asked us to look after the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hyde Granary is a converted Victorian Granary with one double room en-suite situated in the old grain-store, and another double bedroom above the old stable. The house has been lovingly converted and has many beautiful features including thick sandstone interior walls, Cornish slate entrance hall, minstrel’s gallery, and lovely natural light from the glass dome over the staircase. The small private garden is a haven for birds and has wonderful raised views of sunrise and sunset. It is a quiet and peaceful for sitting with a cup of tea at the end of the day. There are two miles of private drive surrounded by woodland and farmland, offering a chance for walking whilst viewing the local wildlife. Deer, foxes, badgers, woodpeckers, and buzzards are all seen regularly. The Hyde Granary is situated close to Brighton, and Gatwick Airport, but not under the flight path! There are many National Trust houses and gardens to visit locally, such as Wakehurst, Nyman’s Gardens and Sheffield Park. The village is within walking distance and has three pub restaurants. ... more   less

“There are two rooms. I had the Hayloft, with a very nice smart bathroom (nice bath!) next door. My only caution is that if you're tall like me you need to duck your head to avoid bashing the chandelier!”

“Both rooms are lovely, bright and airy but cosy at the same time. Both have amazingly powerful showers too but if you enjoy a relaxing bath, the room with the roll-top is extra special.”
