We've thought of everything: ocean views from every suite, deluxe in-room amenities, round-the-clock butler service, private sun decks and personal plunge pools -you name it. Each of our 34 suites and 2 Grand Beach Pavilions basks in ocean vistas, with floor-to-ceiling glass doors that bring the views into your room.

It is our first time here and I can say that we totally fell in love with Srí Lanka! Srí Lanka citizens are very nice and friendly, always smiling. It also applies to a staff. Receptionists, waiters, room service ... they are all here ready to help you. Special thanks to

This is truly one of the best hotels I have stayed. Great place for relaxation. The hotel is located near a beach and very clean surrounding. I can surely recommend that the area is very safe and nice. Great place for a family trip too. The rooms are spacious and well appointed

Our first time in Sri Lanka and we chose the Sun Aqua Pasikudah resort on the east coast for two weeks in early January. It was the low season in this area but we lucked out with the weather (lots of sun), lucked out with the resort and most certainly lucked out with the people.

This is my 2nd time visiting this beautiful resort, and each time it exceeds my expectations! Great ambiance, welcoming staff (especially Arshed the operations manager - who went out of his way), lovely pool, and the best food in the area. Cannot get enough of their Kalkudah

We stayed in the grand beach pavillion for five nights in December, this was our first Sri Lankan hotel experience at the beginning of our trip. The location of the hotel on the beach was great, though you need to have some sand shoes for the broken coral. The pool was our

It s better to book half board. There isn't any shop around except a small super market. We had a guide and he had to drive us about eight Kim far in order to find a restaurant in a motel. In The pool bar of the hotel you can have a snack and is not too expensive.

Hi, they do not serve pork but subsitute with chicken sausages but it would be best to check with the hotel itself and on menus before ordering as hotels often adapt to cater for europeans... Passikudah area is a mix of Muslim, Christian and Hindu.

I loved the meals esp that they were an open buffet. We paid more than usual, but around that beach there aren't any equally good places. I would recommend eating there.

If you are travelling direct from the airport, the best option is a hire car/van with a driver. (Don't get self-drive). It would take about 5-6 hours. Cinnamon Air has an Air-Taxi service to Batticaloa which is about 45 minutes from the hotel. The 2 year old will love the hotel pool, beach and gardens. If the 2 year old does not like road trips, you may want to consider a stop-over in Habarana/Sigiriya. It is fairly hot in this part of the world, in the region of 28-30c at this time of the year. It is a good time to visit the East Coast of Sri Lanka, and you have picked one of the best hotels. I have stayed at a few hotels in the area, and will be returning to Sun Aqua in March.

I was at Sun Aqua a few weeks ago and I thought was a perfect honeymoon spot. All meals are a mix of western and sri lankan dishes with an option of ala carte for any meal over the buffet. Alcohol indeed is available and everything is very decently priced. Meals can also be requested to be setup on the beach which is very nice and romantic for dinner. Dont think twice, go for Sun Aqua!
