We stayed her one night on way to Chantemerle and then 2 nights at end of our week skiing. Our first night was in a premier room with great views out across the valley. We went to the bar early evening to wait for friends - the guy on reception also has to man the bar so we ended up...

Location 1k walk into Briancon. Supermarket, shops and restaurant within Hotel complex. Good free parking facilities. Ski bus( free with ski pass) picks and drops within 200 yds of hotel. Ski lockers available. Breakfast buffet good and worth 10 euro per person. Rooms big enough, basic but clean. Bar area has pool table and table games. Swimming pool and sauna...

Quite large and clean rooms, personnel available and accommodating with families' requests, free parking, free swimming-pool, large supermarket really close. Only downsides: too expensive breakfast (but the supermarket it's almost in the same building!), not close to the centre by foot, rather old furniture (but clean and acceptable).

Good value accommodation but air conditioning in hotel was down on our relatively warm, one night stay which did affect the comfort. No reason given when asked, just...

We chose this hotel as a base for a driving holiday in the nearby Alps. The hotel was well situated in the town with good parking facilities for our classic MGs. The rooms were comfortable, the breakfasts were good value, and the staff were helpful and knowledgeable about the attractions in the surrounding area. The hotel is just outside of...

We stayed at the Mercure Briancon as part of a group of American skiers the week of March 11 - 17, 2006. There were several major problems that you should be aware of if you are traveling there (at least for the near future). The rooms do NOT have phones, nor high speed Internet connections, as advertised. There is no...
