There's a driver/guide at Vali's homestay(Rafi) whose fees for Kang tour as well as another different tours are reasonable(sometimes negotiable). Enjoy your stay in Mashad! See you soon! We started the tour at about 9 am. It took nearly one hour drive to arrive into the steppy village by car. The same duration to drive back to Mashad. We had... More

The food was excellent. We had 2 private rooms. Excellent contact with the family. Vali took the time to explain everything and to show us the city. Very good organisation and well organised tours. I can recommend Vali's homestay to anyone traveling to Mashaad.

I organised for Vali to take me on his day trip to Kang (village) outside Mashhad. We used local transport and Vali orgnaised for a local lunch (Dizi). No complaint's from me, professionally run and great to see the sites and meet the locals, particularly on the local buses. Vali is certainly a character, but what is travel if not... More

Vali is a man very passionate about his job and he has a lifetime of experience in tourism. He takes a lot of time to show you around city and for conversations with guests. I stayed here for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Although Mashhad might not be the go to tourist destination Valis tour around the city... More

Vali's homestay is a very nice place to sleep in Mashhad. The family was really nice and generous and we always felt at home. The breakfast and the dinner were absolutely delicious (home-made) and we ate all together. To conclude, Vali's homestay is a very nice place to stay and I highly recommend it. 😃

Vali's homestay is great choice for travellers looking to meet others and want to stay with an Iranian family (on the same hand regaining some privacy). Vali and his family are very nice and are always looking to help out. The double room we stayed in was full of carpets - both on floor and wall - which created a... More

After a 10 days trip in Iran, we can say that all the hotels (restaurants and people also) were a 5 star experience. Unfortunately, our last 2 nights were at Vali's homestay. We're sleeping in the dorm (dirty basement where you can only breathe dust). I could stand this conditions if the price was fair, but it's overpriced. Breakfast and... More

Stayed here a few days and have nothing but good things to say about this place. The rooms are average, but perfectly adequate, exactly what backpackers should expect for a hostel in Iran. Make sure you take the time to spend an evening meal, a chay, or just a chat with Vali - a genuine and honest man - he... More

I have to say that I dind stay in this hostel, but I have to rate it so I give it 4, just to put something. I just want to say that there is no need to do hostels in Iran, have been dooing couchsurfing and it works very very good. Iranians are the nicest people. Just do an acunt... More

We arrived in Mashhad on the eve of Ashura celebrations, and planning accordingly to LPs indications ('it is impossible to find accomodation in the city during big celebrations') we booked in advance a double room. Upon arrival, Vali greeted us and showed us the 'double room': a filmsy door with Vali's pictures attached to it separed the very dirty room... More
