It is a bit of an adventure to reach the hotel with its rugged and steep driveway but once you're there you can enjoy the many personal touches it offers you. The hotel is owned by a family who makes you feel welcome the minute you arrive. Every member of the family is happy to give you personal attention. No...

This place is a little piece of heaven on earth, its pine huts transport you to an ideal place that for those of us who live in the city we can not think of how much calm there may be, surrounded by green mountains, yes !! This family owned and run property is nothing short of amazing. The facility is spotless and meticulously maintained. The owners and staff go out of their way to ensure your needs are met while staying here. I speak very little Spanish but it was not a problem as there were several staff members as well as the owners who spoke...

I was traveling with a group of friends and we all loved the lovely family who owned this hotel. They went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Be sure and try a salad made with home-grown lettuce--right from the garden to the table.

The place is in the middle of no where. You must have a big car, because of the road. In the middle of no where, you arrive to a very charming salon, very rustic and low lights where is the reception, restaurant and bar. I think they should have more people working. Was just a girl called Dana, doing all:...

This was a great place for my wife and me to relax, read, and enjoy beautiful walks in the Talamanca mountains. The Pelican hotel is family run, very friendly and helpful. The views are spectacular at this quiet retreat and the meals are very good. We loved the simplicity of this place and enjoyed getting to know the owner and...

We went last week to this place, pacefull, ahead from the city, quite and keeped carefully, you can watch and listen to the birds just in the yards. Rooms are confortable and the saving plan for water and electricity is outstanding. You will have a lot of places to go, even the highest pick in Costa Rica, to go to...

The place is really nice and well prepared for people who plan on hiking Chirripo like we did. They provide snacks to go at crazy hours like 3 am in the morning and also give a ride towards the entrance of the Chirripo Park where the hiking starts. The service is OK-ish, We did have a few problems on our...

This was a pretty basic hotel, but had all the amenities: very clean, comfortable beds, really hot water, a decent restaurant, and really wonderful service. We forgot and left our credit cards in a hidey-hole in the room when we checked out, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and nice in retrieving our cards. The only drawback we...
