Granted it was the middle of January, but as far as value for money goes you can't beat it. The room was clean and the bed comfortable and yes the place is dated we were treated well and happy with our accommodation.

We had to call maintenance 3 times. The lower level rooms (rooms 100 -117) are absolutely terrible. The heaters do not work properly. We froze in our first room so they moved us to another which also had heater problems. We took the cover off heater and it said it was last checked in 2006?!?! (Safety concern) We could hear the people in the room above us peeing and the beds were so hard and uncomfortable. The rooms and hallway need a lot of cleaning and updating. The lower level is definitely run down and they should not charge people $109 to rent a room there. After all the hassle of being froze , moving rooms (with 3 little ones) to still have heater problems and having to listen to the upstairs people using the bathroom (clear as day) yuck! They still charged us $90. I feel like I could have taken the kids else where for that amount and had a much better time. I will never go back again and they lost my respect for charging me for terrible service. We took the kids to the pool area and the hot tub was scorching hot! (108 degrees) We had to find the maintenance guy AGAIN to turn it down. The maintenance guy is super nice tho!! He would be busy in a place like that!!

We ended up at his hotel after having an accident on the highway. This was the closest hotel. We are so thankful that we ended up there! The employees were so kind hearted! I mean, truly, genuinely kindhearted. One of the employees even lent us her personal car so we could go into to town to rent a vehicle to get us (my husband and I and 3 children) home (we were 3 hours away from home and our van so undrivable). The food was great and well priced, the rooms were clean, the hotel itself was so warm and welcoming and the staff...well, I can't say enough good things about the staff. There is even a pool!! Just truly fabulous! We ended up at this hotel due to circumstances out of our control! We loved the experience so much (which is nuts to say due to the circumstances) that we are planning a trip there again in the summer. The view in the winter is amazing as well. We highly recommend this hotel!

My husband and I hid away at the Riverside Resort for an entire weekend and it was perfect. I enjoyed the pool, the breakfast (buffet style for a worth it price), the fitness centre was small but good for a small work out, and the room was great! It has absolutely stunning views. We will come back soon!

Disappointing cottage stay. Although the staff was friendly, restaurant food was good and the cabins sounding nice, the cost wasn’t worth it. Cons: 1. We were met with the situation explained below. (No maintenance/cleaning) 2. Hot tub at the pool area is literally a huge tub that is hot. Jets are very weak to simply circulate the water, so it feels like a community bath. 3. Cleaning is done every 2nd day so garbage accumulates quickly (we were 5) and we are expected to leave the garbage outside (?! Makes no sense given the fact that we are in the woods...hi squirrels!) 4. Cabin was very damp/humid so bed sheets, towels and clothes are uncomfortable, slightly gross to use/wear. 5. Inconvenience of having only 1 pot and 1 element to cook with in kitchenette. Counter space is limited. 5. Scenery from the porch isn’t great. Just plastic chairs, plastic bucket filled with cigarettes and the woods. ( that bucket should be metal) Situation: I stayed in the cabin with my family (grandmother, mother, my 2 sisters), upon arrival they said that our cabin had just finished being cleaned, but the floors were soaked! (We weren’t gonna let my 89 year old grandmother fall and break a hip) I walked in to check it out and the light switch in the bathroom didn’t work. We informed reception where we were told to wiggle the switch a couple times for it to work. Nit an option, especially being with my grandmother. Our cabin was switched, but it seemed that they mopped just to make it seem that they cleaned. Floors were still soaked, bath tub had dirt in it, crumbs under the kitchen table and in drawers.(at least we had clean towels). We asked reception to have someone dry the floors so that my grandmother can walk in and to also avoid bringing dirt in. A cleaning lady showed up with a small white towel ?! It didn’t do much obviously. I dried the floors myself with paper towel.

Property has amazing potential but is not well maintained. Our room was on the top floor and had a wonderful high ceiling. Our “Queen” bed was more like a double. Rooms need a fresh coat of paint & an upgrade. Pool was ok but jets in the hot tub didn’t work right. On the positive side, grounds were nice, room was sound proof, staff were friendly & the food was good. We were there for a family reunion & the lobby area was a great gathering place.

A very beauti3ful place to stay. Situated along the St.johns river, just minutes from Fredricton, New Brunswick in a place called Mactaquac. Comfortable rooms, an awesome dining room. And the food, oh the food. A menu that would nock your socks off. Well prices and a lot of it. Portioned large bowls and platters filled to the edge. My favourite, the seafood chowder. My compliments to the chef. Staff in every department were top notch. Thank you Riverside Resort.

Resort was quaint. Our conference was in Fredericton however we were unable to get accommodations in the city. Therefore we ended up here. There is no shuttle to the airport which is quite a distance between points. The room itself was ok and no complaints. The area was very scenic however did not have an opportunity to tour around. It is hidden away

Hadn't eaten here since a few years ago.....but wow..... what great food now ! Popped in with my son after boating all afternoon and was pleasantly surprised by the great food and service. I had the sea-food chowder and it was great Came with garlic bread and was very filling. In watching other people's food going by our table, everything looked great and the prices are very reasonable. Definitely will return !!
