Dropped in for Sunday lunch and was pleasantly surprised. This was no ordinary mass catered pub fayre but a really tasty and beautifully presented roast. Well worth a trip out when you dont want to cook. The popcorn icecream and brownies are also very good.

We booked this place as a last minute thing as the camping trip we were on was ruined by lots of rain and a slight wet tent. The host was very friendly and helpful. We took the standard room that was small (perfect for 2). The room was clean and cozy and had a hot water shower that was perfect.... More

We stayed for one night last Saturday. Could easily have stayed longer. The room was lovely, the pub delightful. Nothing was too much trouble. The owners were very friendly and completely focused on making our stay as enjoyable as possible. Would highly recommend. We will definitely be back. (Despite being pub accommodation the room was very peaceful, and for those... More

It says a lot when your burger actually tastes "meaty" and the ones we chose to have at The Barleycorn were both physically meaty and tastily meaty! Enjoyed my serving of blueberry frozen yoghurt as well, rounded things off nicely. Staff were welcoming and surroundings congenial. Best bit: being given a little container with extra lime cordial to top up... More

My wife and I were attending a 40th birthday party at the local village hall and being not from the area we searched the local hotels, B&Bs etc. I think we lucked out with The Barleycorn! Room was a great size with ample storage for clothes, a nice comfortable kingsize double bed. Big en suite with working shower and hot... More

My Wife and I were visiting a relative from Collingbourne Ducis and our relative suggested the Barleycorn Inn. Hey this is a really nice rural Inn with friendly staff and a really wonderful Chef. Freshly cooked food. Their Cod and triple cooked chips should be there signature dish. Recommend booking for evenings and weekends. We had Lunch there. I had... More

Booked a table in advance for ten people, as we were staying there for two nights. The staff and service were very, very welcoming. Our rooms were spotless, and comfortable. The evening meal was of a high standard..compliments to the chef... What can I say about breakfast, especially the fruit compote which was to die for..everything was beautifully presented, and... We stayed overnight and had booked ahead as several local places were sold out. Our room (#3) was up some outside stairs but very accessible and quiet and comfortable. Larger than average bathroom and a good supply of hot water. WiFi has recently been upgraded and worked well. We had dinner although the kitchen is normally closed on a Monday.... More

Dined here 2 nights on the run following recommendation from our hosts at Manor Farm B&B. Food excellent had fish both nights absolutely delicious. Staff very friendly, chef knows what he's doing. The local Salmon with spinach foam, basil and samphire and capers worked really well. Sole the previous night equally good.
