Just had an amazing week here, everything was perfect- hotel,room,staff, food,drink, entertainment, activities, location all amazing...

...Location wise the area is beautiful if you are looking to chill out and relax then this area is for you there is a shopping complex just 10 minutes up the road and this has some small cafes, supermarket and clothing stores on offer but if you are after something more lively then you can hop on a bus or taxi to nest resort of playa las Américas which was about 16 euros one way in a taxi...

...They took over the adult only pool bringing with them a loud speaker, playing their music, shouting loudly, drinking in the pool and just being annoying... This time they brought flags with them which they started lying around the pool, we also observed someone trip over one... Again the lifeguard came down who asked them to move them which they did but again once the guard left the music carried on...

...They really take pride in their hotel and it shows... There are multiple options each night… live music and acrobatics as well as quizzes and themed parties...

...They have a white night and neon night on separate Fridays so bring something white and illuminus. It's a bit like a rave party for everyone...

...The hotel looks the part in the middle of nowhere cardiac hills around the place... The cost of this place instead of putting instrument playing entertainment and singers who can't sing for toffe just pay your entainment staff who were brilliant what they did and worked tirelessly well done you guys and girls !!!!...

...At 9pm when adults want good singers etc they put on shows and Karaoke which is aimed at kids rather than adults...

...Evening entertainment good especially Motown and I'l Divo shows, enjoyed karaoke but prefer pen& paper to using App. White & Neon party nights good and we dressed in line with colours for each party, not quite on same scale as those experienced in Mexico but still great atmosphere (which we still enjoyed as young at heart people now in their 60's)...

...Entertainment is different every night from, karaoke, soul music, rock station, copey circus & Friday night is party night with either the white party or neon, lots of things going on through the day as well & if you have kids there will be activities throughout the day for them too...

...Entertainment Very high standard every night, Friday is party night, great music and light show with dancers, theme alternates between’white’ and ‘neon’ Surroundings It’s not a big resort, hire a car or budget for taxis, busses and trips out...

...Also my family with kids of age 2 and 5 got the room closest to the main stage with very loud entertainment until 22:30-ish...

...The rooms are lovely and each and every one has a beautiful view... Sometimes certain instrumentalists & singers are much more suited to a quiet music lounge atmosphere rather than for families, sometimes this is for the whole evening... Then another night, dancing groups, musical duos, better suited...

...The boom, boom, boom of music pervades the hotel, we even try to escape to the comfort of our room to relax and read but the noise travels...

...Evening entertainment was of a good standard, with a variety of acts each evening, in the main bar area, or on some nights a music act was on at the La Gomera pool bar...

...The entertainment was fab and having stayed at a number of riu hotels in the past sometimes the entertainment can feel quite samey but not here there was new shows, live singing, karaoke but no books and doing it from an easy app, quizzes on the app it’s great to see that Riu and the Buenavista are moving with the times... Few good things to know as well… We went in to Torviscus one night & got a taxi east from reception about €20 each way to the Pheasant Plucker which has live music, drag shows, etc... Also Moonlight Bar (looks a bit rough from the outside) but great atmosphere, karaoke, tribute acts, etc... We also did the Hard rock hotel one night 16th floor roof top terrace with dj & dancing robots if you fancy something different...

...Evenings shows were so LOUD that we couldn’t get sleep, although we woke up early...

...The entertainment was great every evening, the Welsh lady singer was a hit, always got people up dancing...

...We stayed in a room that overlooked the stage and when the dj was on it was very loud until 11.45pm...

...Entertainment, we stayed for 10 days and we enjoyed two nights of entertainment, they were the nights that the entertainment team put on ( white party disco night and Mama mia night) the rest was pretty poor, a saxophonist, guitarist, poor female vocalists and can't even remember the rest...

...They have the same kind of theme in all of them, the same style and set out so if you are regular guests, you know what you will get...

...Entertainment is mainly conducted by the Riu entertainment staff but there were also local entertainment mainly music and acrobatics...

...The foyer was very elegant and we spent most evenings in here watching the entertainment... Entertainment was held in an outside pavilion with open seating and as it was April it was always freezing at night...

...For such a large hotel with hundreds of rooms this hotel is a 12 out of 10 for cleanliness... Rooms are cleaned daily and you decide when you want to change your room tools (on the floor change please) There is sun-bed saving with towels BUT there are plenty of sun-beds to go around...

...It’s a carnival of loud noise till early in the morning .. the staff are amazing very polite and can’t help you enough and the hotel looks great .. our room was above the stage which is in the middle of the grounds like many others and it’s LOUD till the early hours and then you have the noisy stragglers who like to use the 24 hour beer pump (Amstel or 2% lemon .. .. didn’t sleep great for 6 nights very disappointed for a hotel that uses the wording “relaxing” as it’s far from relaxing.. . And then it all starts again at 9am in the morning for the kids clubs on the stage .. the food is ok but very repetitive and certainly not 4* apart from the themed restaurants which are virtually impossible to get a booking and only open on certain nights and you have to book days in advance ..the cocktails are like child’s versions of cocktails made with squash instead of cocktail ingredients.. rooms are spacious but have 2 internal doors one to your room and one to next door so it’s bang bang bang with doors at all times during the day and middle of the night !!...

...The bars could have the original Martini Bianco, in addition to the gel, there could be shampoo in the second container, the towels in the room could be white, room 219, the first door to the entrance to rooms 1 and 2 could be removed...

The hotel is very large well maintained and very clean... The room we were given was overlooking a house garden and rows of apartments, we asked to be moved but were told the hotel was full which was not believable because we never saw any one on the opposite side to our block...

...We booked the Riu Buenavista after a long search for a 2 bedroom hotel with what appeared to be spacious modern rooms On arrival, we were pleased to be greeted in a lovely modern reception with very friendly staff. Check in was nice and quick and we made our way to our room - after some disappointing hotels in the last few years we were delighted with what would be our home for the week... The rooms were huge, with big comfy beds and a large balcony that had a side sea view ( which we realised the next day had no sunshine, which was one of the few disappointnents)...

...These get booked up quickly and personally I feel every patron should be able to visit each at least once, all inclusive means essentially you have already paid for at least one sitting right?... The hotel is impeccably clean and well set out... The rooms are lovely and each and every one has a beautiful view... Definitely nice for a quiet relaxing break with good amenities...

I am writing this review as I am sitting on the balcony in the sun the hotel was completely refurbished in 2020 the rooms are lovely very spacious large superking size bed very comfy the decor is very modern and fresh looking separate toilet and double sinks and large shower all tastefully done.The main restaurant is large food is very good large selection of salads,meats,pizzas,breads,fish,and big range of hot cooked food as well you'd have to be a fussy eater not to find something you like breakfast is also very varied from a cooked breakfast to continental and everything in between cereals,fruit,yogurts even porridge...

...Bags taken to our room, while we went for a drink and a burger. Our room was large (756) included was a walk in shower bathroom, two good sized comfy beds, kettle with mugs and tea and coffee...

Booked this hotel as a 3 day add on to a weeks Canaries Cruise... Room was huge, more of a suite, with a good view of the pools and sea... recently renovated, we think, as finished in the Riu latest colours and décor... As a couple we tend to book adults only hotels or try and make sure we visit when we're unlikely to encounter too many children...

Like someone has said the room towels could be better quality but I imagine that they are like they are to make them easier to wash and dry to help the environment... Firstly, I’d like to say I’m in agreement the majority of reviews on here overall an excellent hotel and value for money!... Also the cocktails are too sugary and slushy not tasty imo... The breakfast bacon is amazing French toast butter toast and fruit juices are natural and refreshing!...

Once we had arrived @ the hotel checkin was easy & quick ( No drink on arrival) we took our own cases to the room as the porter was busy... Room was kept extremely clean and cleaners took pride in there work ...

...Hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were very attentive and helpful... Beer was Amstel and Cruz Campo but the glasses they serve it in are not designed for lager, so drinks go flat quickly... Staff were great Would have given a 4 but the food choices need attention... Also for me, lager requires to be served in lager glasses not fruit juice glasses...

...Just returned from our fourth stay at this newly refurbished hotel situated on the quiet Playa Paraiso and only 40 mins from the airport. Nothing is any trouble for the consistently friendly and obliging staff... We asked to move to a room with a sea view and were rewarded with a beautiful front line view as soon as the room became available...

hotel was spotless staff worked very hard food was okay meat was tough at times and realize it is hard to keep hot but wish it was hotter sometimes same soup for three evenings on a trot...

...The staff start setting the outside tables at 3am rattling pots and chatting and talking which echoed up into our room, also the door to the rooms are heavy and you go through one door to two rooms so every time you go in or out of your room you have 2 doors that bang shut. The first week of the holiday they were drilling and digging from 7.30am to 17.30pm around the children’s pool laying new tiles for 3 days...

I would absolutely recommend booking your stay here for 7 + days and I would definitely book my stay here again... The staff are almost always polite and helpful and the vibes are good... The rooms are absolutely amazing and the beds are comfortable, the cleaners do a fantastic job of tiding it for you, and they always give you fresh towels... The pools are excellent, not too deep (could be deeper) and not too shallow- the best part is, there is an adults only pool for couples or groups, a kids only pool for families and then 3 others with no restrictions...

Service on a whole very good from reception to bar staff to waiters in restaurants to a high standard... Few things we liked were the staff who literally will go out of there way to help you big shout out to Gunner & Carlos bar staff very friendly & smiley!... I downloaded the Riu app as emailed from reception literally as soon as we got to our rooms on arrival and you can prebook restaurants, check dining times, show times, search for things... Only negatives we had which is not so much a negative but slight confusion more than anything is when we visited last time the bar staff used to say if you want alcohol in you’re cocktail we have to ask for it so this time we we’re asking & some staff we’re doing it but then some were saying ‘why it’s already in there’ & sometimes we got extra... Booked this hotel as a 3 day add on to a weeks Canaries Cruise... Restaurant service was a bit too keen..... cleared our table and was showing another couple to it when we returned with our desserts (something we saw happen on numerous occasions in our only 3 day stay!)... so make sure you ensure you make it obvious you're coming back!... Pools were very nice and well maintained (one was being renovated while we were staying) but it was the usual 7am towel trek if you wanted to ensure a particular bed at a particular pool...

...On arrival we were swiftly checked in by Alba, who explained all the things about the hotel, we also had a dinner reservation made for us in the Atlantico restaurant... The one area I would comment on is the breakfast coffee, now I like coffee but the coffee brought to the table was STRONG!... You may need to get half a cup of hot water to temper its strength!!!... I personally think for the number of people being catered for the staff do an exceptional job... Each and every member of staff without exception has been kind and courteous from the maintenance staff, life guards, waiters and waitresses, security guard’s, reception staff, and the maids... The bathroom had a beautiful walk-in shower, twin basins and hairdryer... Our room was equipped with a ceiling fan and air conditioning, mini fridge, wide-screen TV, kettle, with tea and coffee... Our room was made up each and every day, being clean and tidy on our return... A special thank you goes out to Hayat on reception who was so polite and very helpful each time and made us feel so special... No complaints from us at all on this hotel, and we are thinking of booking again for next year at the same time...

...We had 4 curries, 2 chips, 2 rice, 2 garlic naan, pickle tray and poppadoms, 2 rounds of drinks for 89 euro: the jalfrezi was the best I’d had... The hotel is spotless and the staff are always cleaning, the pool areas do get busy and people do reserve beds early... Although we were getting beds at 9am plus when we went for breakfast so don’t have to get up early if you don’t want to be right in front of the pool... The rep tells you it’s 12 euro in a taxi to las Americas but it’s not its 20 euro each way... We visited Siam park, 20 euro in a taxi... The attraction tickets cost us £35 plus a free burger which is well worth it...

...All of the staff were very nice and friendly, especially the restaurant staff... Drinks stations around the grounds allowed you to get your own soft drinks, beers, wines, tea and coffee... Clean towels are provided each day for the pool areas and there is different entertainment each evening into the night... All in all a very pleasant stay for our first ever All exclusive holiday...

...Very clean hotel, we stayed in a 2 bedroom suite it was very spacious, lovely and clean. All the staff were very helpful and friendly Drinks were very good ( we took our own large plastic cups with lids and straws, very handy for taking back to our room) frozen slushy pina colada's were amazing Food was ok but became very repetitive Staff were very helpful when we asked if it was possible for a pool/ sea view as we didn't have one, they moved us two days later and it was well worth the move... The hotel need to act on these issues because its not a holiday when you get all these mad people getting up in the middle of the night to put towels out... When we arrived we said wow let's book for next year, by day 6 when we were eating the same meals and couldn't get a lounger by the pool because I refused to set my alarm for 5.30am we said glad we didn't re-book...

...Our room was great, very spacious and one of the comfiest hotel beds we've slept in... There were plenty of sunbeds available at all the pools... All staff were amazing, they were super friendly and couldn't do enough for you... Downsides My partner had contacted the hotel before our visit to try and arrange a surprise in our room on arrival for my birthday and there was nothing... Although we did clock on a few days in that if we ate late in the main restaurant and chose to sit outside closer to the stage they would let us stay there to watch the entertainment... Overall we had a great stay and were really impressed for a 4* hotel...

The management of this hotel are on the go constantly making themselves available throughout the day and nothing is too much trouble to sort. Staff are extremely helpful and happy... All work extremely hard to ensure that guests are enjoying their stay... A truly enjoyable stay and the hotel is definitely on our return list...

Our hotel room was immaculate so clean and the view from our room looked over the adults only swimming pool and had the most incredible sea views which made sitting on the balcony for sunsets and sunrise just amazing...

...This was our third stay in the last 12 months and each stay has been excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms and communal areas of the hotel are exceptionally clean and well maintained... But there are several bus stops close by and its a short journey into Playa de Las Americas or you can stop off at Fanabe or one of the resorts along the journey... We asked for a room on a higher floor with pool view, which they said they would accommodate if available which it was...

The drinking stations dotted throughout are a godsend you can pour your own soft drinks , lager, wine wihtout queing up a big bonus , a big tip is bring one of those water containers the insulated ones to keep your drinks cold... never been to a resort hotel that actually makes pre packed sandwiches excellent for return flight journey the entertainment is good and the room we were allocated across in front of the stage albelit quite away but still could hear the music and see the huge tv screens , there is a nice shopping centre up the hill which sells mostly anything you need...

...Staff are really friendly, attentive and cant do enough for you. There are 5 pools in the hotel (one adult only) and the views from all angles of the hotel are beautiful as it is situated right on the ocean... ain the hotel is a kids pool and very small park, but if you were to walk up the hill from the hotel there is a small shopping precinct with a soft play that was probably the most suited for our baby... We caught taxis to such places which varied from 15-25 euros each way... Jungle Park and Aqualand are around 10-15 mins in a taxi and are something else to do, Tui offered a twin ticket for 44 euros per adult... The pools were all absolutely freezing even in 24 degree heat, the lazy river was out of order due to refurbishment (we were not informed on booking or entering the park) and the general state of the park was poor... But, on the plus side we walked to the beach from Aqualand and that area was fantastic... Lots of shops, bars , restaurants, beautiful sandy beaches so that was a great day out... Rooms are clean and spacious and we had a beautiful, large balcony with a sea view...

...The staff from the reception to restaurant to cleaners were absolutely amazing, nothing was too much trouble and the lovely waitress at dinner was brilliant with our 16 month granddaughter... The availability of drinks and snacks was brilliant, it seemed that there was somewhere to get a drink at every corner of the hotel... Our rooms were massive, and the beds were very comfortable... Each room had a fridge and coffee and tea making facilities... A separate toilet and bathroom with the biggest walk in shower I have ever seen... Our room overlooked the kiddies pool and sea the only problem was they ripped out the pool at the end of the week and the noise was horrendous...

...The hotel is absolutely amazing and you just cannot fault the location... The rooms are absolutely amazing and the beds are comfortable, the cleaners do a fantastic job of tiding it for you, and they always give you fresh towels... The pools are excellent, not too deep (could be deeper) and not too shallow- the best part is, there is an adults only pool for couples or groups, a kids only pool for families and then 3 others with no restrictions... The Location is amazing, right by the sea and on top of a cliff, so you get a lovely view no matter where you sunbathe...

...The themed restaurants are great fairly easy to book Chinese/Italian/grill in that order for me grill is similar to what you get on a daily at Yaiza. Breakfast is better at Yaiza even though Atlantico is quieter services and little touches like coffee served to you are appreciated at Yaiza!... The room and hotel is vast and very clean, my kids love the room so spacious and has all the required amenities... We got lucky to be in room 356 great location to pools and restaurants... However the local shops a stone throw from the hard rock and promenade is a lovely stroll and get away with typical sea side shops and bars restaurants etc... A handy small shopping centre at the top of the road is also nice to visit (Rosa Center)... The breakfast bacon is amazing French toast butter toast and fruit juices are natural and refreshing!... The sausages aren’t the best prefer proper pork sausages not hot dog style, overall good selection of pastries too... Pool towels easy to change and all the pools are brilliant mostly heated apart from infinity very cold, good activities such as aqua volley and water polo... I believe the entertainment has been better than other hotels I’ve visited cabaret and some external acts too, worth a watch and the bars and area can get busy but overall we haven’t found it too bad...

...From new pools, new restaurants, new bars, new entertainment. Few things we liked were the staff who literally will go out of there way to help you big shout out to Gunner & Carlos bar staff very friendly & smiley!... The entertainment was fab and having stayed at a number of riu hotels in the past sometimes the entertainment can feel quite samey but not here there was new shows, live singing, karaoke but no books and doing it from an easy app, quizzes on the app it’s great to see that Riu and the Buenavista are moving with the times... I downloaded the Riu app as emailed from reception literally as soon as we got to our rooms on arrival and you can prebook restaurants, check dining times, show times, search for things... The Atlantico restaurant (the grill) we preferred to eat in as it was a buffet but not as crowded as the main one however lots of choice... It was also great to see that Playa Paraiso itself had a lot more bars & restaurants open a Burger King & a brand new shopping centre close by... Few good things to know as well… We went in to Torviscus one night & got a taxi east from reception about €20 each way to the Pheasant Plucker which has live music, drag shows, etc... Also Moonlight Bar (looks a bit rough from the outside) but great atmosphere, karaoke, tribute acts, etc...

Booked this hotel as a 3 day add on to a weeks Canaries Cruise. Stayed in many Riu Hotels so knew what to expect from one of their All Inclusive offerings and we weren't disappointed... Room was huge, more of a suite, with a good view of the pools and sea... recently renovated, we think, as finished in the Riu latest colours and décor... A bit basic with low end furnishings but clean, comfortable, quiet and a good bathroom... Food and drink of usual All Inclusive fare... Drinks were low quality spirits but again it is all inclusive... Pools were very nice and well maintained (one was being renovated while we were staying) but it was the usual 7am towel trek if you wanted to ensure a particular bed at a particular pool... Great if you wanted your child to have others to play with but as a couple you can imagine the noise, screaming and general mayhem around the pools and in the restaurant... Overall a nice hotel but we would not be staying again...

We have just come home from 2 weeks in this hotel, the hotel is lovely and clean, the food is good and the staff are very friendly, unfortunately we were in room 5461 which overlooked the pool and restaurant... The first week of the holiday they were drilling and digging from 7.30am to 17.30pm around the children’s pool laying new tiles for 3 days...

An added bonus was that there were direct USB ports to plug directly into in our room... Our room was made up each and every day, being clean and tidy on our return... The Riu app is a fantastic tool to add to your smart device or phone, makes it easy to book dinner reservations if you so wish, and has other easy to use features!... I could go on, but see for yourself just how good this hotel really is...

If you come out of the hotel at the bottom gate and turn left follow the path round that is where all the bars are, only 5mins walk... There are also 2 supermarkets near by, one near the hard rock hotel, which is near the Indian and one in the Rosa shopping centre which if you walk out the front entrance and walk straight up it’s 8min walk to the shopping centre, this is nice and has a shop equivalent to primark... This supermarket is also cheaper than the one near hard rock hotel... We had a 2 bedroom apartment and this was very spacious, beds were so comfy...

Great hotel with fantastic service. The 4 restaurants and 5 pools were excellent with a good selection of food that varied from day to day so you could always have something different if you wanted... The morning and afternoon snacks and drinks were also good if you could manage anymore food and the cocktails were great... The wifi in and around the hotel was superb and the best I have experienced... Full coverage everywhere, in rooms, all around the 5 swimming pools, in the restaurants everywhere...

People were saving loungers at more than one pool so that made it even worse... When we arrived we said wow let's book for next year, by day 6 when we were eating the same meals and couldn't get a lounger by the pool because I refused to set my alarm for 5.30am we said glad we didn't re-book... It's a real shame because the hotel was so nice and the best sea view...

...We stayed here recently for 4 nights for my 30th Birthday. On first impressions the hotel was beautiful and way bigger than we thought it would be... Our room was great, very spacious and one of the comfiest hotel beds we've slept in... There were plenty of sunbeds available at all the pools... We chose the adult only pool most days... We really enjoyed the drinks and cocktails choices... Also were very impressed with the main buffet restaurant options... All staff were amazing, they were super friendly and couldn't do enough for you... Also if you want to watch the evening entertainment you need to get there early to be able to find a seat... Although we did clock on a few days in that if we ate late in the main restaurant and chose to sit outside closer to the stage they would let us stay there to watch the entertainment... Overall we had a great stay and were really impressed for a 4* hotel...

On arrival we were met with friendly, helpful staff who checked us in and showed us to our room. As we arrived after dinner we were directed to the restaurant where there was food available for us... The rooms were spacious and extremely clean the daily staff ensured we had all we needed... There was bottled water at the main bar which could be taken to the room fridge... The pool areas were excellent with four main pools to sunbathe around as well as specific sunbathing terraces... There were plenty of sun beds and no need for the early rush to reserve a bed.The bars were well stocked and no long queues for drinks... Overall the hotel catered for a range of nationalities and the evening entertainment was good... We would recommend this hotel as it has something for everyone...

...Staff are extremely helpful and happy. All work extremely hard to ensure that guests are enjoying their stay... There are two main restaurants and two speciality Italian and Asian restaurants which must be pre booked on line... There are a number of different room sizes from smaller ones with large double beds or two singles, to one and two bedroom family rooms... Water was always hot and local power is 220volt... A truly enjoyable stay and the hotel is definitely on our return list...

...Very comfortable hotel since the refurbishment. We had a 1 bedroom suite which was well appointed but a few niggles as the separate toilet did not have a basin, soft close lid and had a 5cm gap under the door... There needed to be drawer storage in the bedroom as well...

We asked for a room on a higher floor with pool view, which they said they would accommodate if available which it was... For a lovely chilled out holiday with excellent food and drink available 24 hours a day, I would highly recommend this hotel...

...We had 2 adjoining rooms with sea view. Rooms a good size and kept clean throughout our stay... Nice spacious outside area and never any problems finding a sun-bed except at the children’s pool... This area had few sunbeds resulting in parents standing about till one became available... Restaurants were lovely and there was always a good choice of food... The foyer was very elegant and we spent most evenings in here watching the entertainment... Think it would be good if the hotel invested in outside heaters during the colder evenings so as guests could take part in the evening entertainment programme...
