9 of us turned up for lunch on a Saturday and were not disappointed. Lovely fresh produce used to cook really nice food. Great service and fantastic value for money. I could list what I ate but everyone had different food and we all enjoyed our meals. Well done the Red Lion

We stayed overnight as our daughter had riding commitments in the area the following day. As usual the room was really comfortable, warm and well provisioned. Had a wonderful meal in the pub including the obligatory Steak Pie for me, Lambs Liver and Bacon for my husband

Had a meal one evening which was excellent, went back a few times during our stay for drinks and joined in with the quiz. Was made to feel very welcome by the staff and locals. Would highly recommend a visit

Is the bar dog friendly for lunches?
Sorry, but I cannot honestly say. The bar is in two parts and can often be very busy, which may be unpleasant for your dog. My instinct, meeting the locals is that your dog would be made very welcome. I suggest a quick call to the owner Iain.
