The Sun House (Soncna hisa) actually accommodates a 5-star hotel, laying great stress on its first-class service and personalised approach to its guests. The luxuriously furnished suites of the newly built villa, hidden in the very heart of authentic and natural riches of Prlekija will be able to accommodate only up to thirteen guests at a time and thus offer their guests discretion and comfort they need so much in these stressful and troubled times.
This boutique hotel is beautiful, set in a small village near a popular spa center Terme Banovci. The interior is very modern and cosy. The room was very clean with a beautiful view. The hotel has two saunasa, jacuzzi and a pool outside. The staff is super nice. My boyfriend is vegan so every day they specially prepared him full, nutritious vegan breakfast! You can also borrw a bike and cycle through the beautiful landscape of Prlekija.
We stayed for 4 nights and will definetly return.

We stayed for three days with our son (7). The hotel is very intimate, with only five rooms. It is more suitable for couples than for families but we were very well welcomed. Maybe we are so lucky that our son is a very calm child. Breakfast was the best I have ever had. Very tasty, a lot of different things and plentiful for such a small boutique hotel. We will definitely be back.

We have six year old child and we were really looking forward on our first vacation without children. I found Soncna hisa on internet, read reviews and fell in love with. But... When you think about something named Sun house, you think about beautiful house, located somewhere in the middle of fields of sunflower, with a lot of privacy. Privacy is one thing that you cannot get in Sun house. Sun house is surrounded with houses. One some parts less than 4 meters. We choose one of bigger apartments in a first floor with jacuzzi. Room was nice, although for a price of 300 EUR per night could be better. Through every window in the room neighbors can look at every inch of your skin. One night we came from dinner and in room next to ours one guest was showering. He had curtains down, but the light in bathroom was on, of course. You could see his whole fortune. After that experience we turned off the light while we where in bathroom. We really wanted to get some rest, but at five in the morning sun woke us. Next night we put blanked over window so we could catch some sleep. Air con was loud and didn't work, so it was really hot in the room. You have no shades, no air con and sun into your window whole day. Other night we went to bed at 11 P.M. At that point some new guests arrived to the house. They were talking and drinking till one in the morning and we could hear everything what they were saying. Sound proof??? We stayed there for 4 nights. When I did booking, I asked if it would be possible to have one more extra night. When we've seen sun house we didn't want to stay there that long. We told them than we would check out like we book it and not going to stay that extra night. From that moment on ladies working there weren't that nice anymore. They charged us 100 EUR, because we didn't stay there that extra night, although we didn't confirm that night. We decide it to use there spa one night and we were inside for about 30 minutes, because again, no privacy. When you step out of sauna you have to take a towel around the corner. If you step half a meter more you're in a spot light. To say something positive about that place..... breakfast was nice.

Dear Petra, Thank you for your review. Since we have always had very satisfied guests, we are sorry that we have disappointed you. That is why I feel I need to make a comment to explain our view. Sun house is a beautiful house located in small village of Banovci. On one side the house is surrounded by neighbors, but rooms and most of the windows are facing surrounding fields or our garden. This year fields are planted with corn, but we hope farmers decide for sunflowers next year. The architecture and design of Sun house are based on open spaces and bathrooms with glass inside walls, but closed curtains on all windows allow our guests to have privacy while taking a shower. None of the rooms is facing any other room, so I cannot imagine where you could have seen another guest taking shower, but I apologize for that inconvenience. I have to put out that before confirming your stay we have sent you three different offers. At last you have decided for our summer special offer (Summer fever) including 3 nights for 390EUR for two persons and we added one additional night as you requested. Usually we ask our guests for 30% payment of total offer before their arrival. Since you could not confirm the offer by payment, we accepted your email as confirmation. I also have to note that you made reservation for one of our smaller rooms and we had that room prepared at your arrival. Upon your arrival you wanted to change the room with our room with Jacuzzi and we have kindly cleaned the room to make the change possible. Since the room was not prepared for guests it was not cooled and it was hot the first day. You confirmed your reservation by email for package Summer fever with three nights and one additional night. Since on the second day you have decided to cancel your extra night we had to charge you for that night, since due to your cancellation at last minute we could not offer the room to any other guest. Sun house is small hotel and every cancellation costs us potential guests and profit. Even though your cancellation was made just one day before you leave, we decided not to charge you the full price for the room, but just 100EUR. We are sorry you feel disappointed about our hotel and our services. During your stay you have pointed out problem with curtains not being shady enough, but otherwise we even had the impression you were having a nice time as you even complimented our wellness and the rest of the hotel. I just feel sorry that you did not issue your disappointment or problems during your stay, so we could try to make your stay more comfortable. Best regards, Saša

I spent two day at Sončna hiša last year. I got the stay there as a wedding gift. Before I went there I visited their web site to see what to expect. Reading the informations on their site I expected a house in the middle of a meadow, with a lot of privacy and rich service. From the site: "The sun house is an oases... Fresh fruit in the room.... Sweet surprise in the room... A large balcony... Products from the L'OCCITANE cosmetic range for your personal care..." I was realy exited and happy to go there. First surprise: When we came (me & my husband) the first surprise was that the house is in the middle of the village, surrounded by other houses... is not an oasis. Oasis is an isolated area. Second surprise: The things included in the gift package were fresh fruits, sweet surprise, luxury cosmetics... in the room. I expected a fruit basket, chocolate box and luxury cosmetics. I just found one rotten apple, two small chocolate eggs and one small shower gel (no shampoo, no soap, no body cream...). Third surprise: The room was very beautiful, but when I went to take a shower, the neighbors can see you becouse they live 5 meters away. Maybe this things are not important for someone, but for me this little things means a lot. I will not just criticize... the stuff was friendly and the breakfast was very good.

Dear Maja R., As we try our best to spoil our guests and offer them a nice retreat, we are sorry that we have managed to disappoint you and didn't succeed to fulfill your expectations. Usually we receive good comments regarding our house that is why I feel we need to comment on your review. And since you have visited us a while ago, last year, the bad feeling about our house must have been bothering you for some time that is why we feel you deserve a reply. We do not mention on our site that the house is hidden in the middle of meadows, far away from the village. It is located in Banovci, small rural village with only 50 houses. Our goal is to make our guests feel at home, away from home. Sončna hiša is designed in a ''home'' like style with living room, terrace, garden, homemade breakfast and we believe that a part of a house and a home are also neighbors. That is why an oasis is not meant as hidden place far away from everyone, but as a sanctuary, place of refuge what we hope we are trying to provide with our wellness viewed to surrounding fields, with massages, relaxing bike rides to river Mura and walks thru paths and fields and not with distant location. Our house is on one way surrounded with neighboring houses but our rooms are facing fields. We are sorry that our fruit, sweet surprise and luxury cosmetics didn't meet your expectations. Thank you for pointing out. We will try to level up our service. We are just sorry that you didn't point out your disappointment at hotel and we would do our best to turn your opinion around. The concept of our house and all our rooms are open spaces with glass bathroom, but to hide away from neighbors you can always close a curtain. Nice and lovely place, friendly people, we had a very lovely time. They know how to listen to guests wishes, the location is great, the nature, nice location for biking, love the recommended restaurants and all in all great! I only wish they would have more rich vegan breakfast ;)

It was a true gettaway. Even though our expectations were quite high, we were speachless upon our arrival. Every detail in this outstanding boutique hotel is there for a reason. Small details create marvellous and extraordinary feeling of just being there. Kind and helpful staff, great service, design and kindness of the personnel makes you feel like a royalty! We'll be back, for sure!

House is an event by itself. I has nice Jacuzzi, sauna and restrooms. Rooms are different and designed in different local environment styles. House staff is very helpful and can organize any event needed. Breakfast is made in best local traditions, with homemade bread, actually almost everything is homemade and really tasteful. Few steps from house is a local spa, where you can take some treatments and swim in spa water. Concerning massage and other treatments, you can also order it in "Sončna hiša". It is a hotel made specialy for couples.

My husband and I spent here three days and we enjoyed every moment. It is a really nice place, the room, Manhattan, is comfortable, with lovely view over the fields, and the wellnes is superb. But the most value to this place bring the people who work here. The staff is friendly, always there to help you and make all your wishes come true. From the fantastic breakfast in the morning (local food, every day something different) to the last glass of wine in the evening. You can relax at the wellness, do some sports or enjoy a dinner at a local restaurant (they know which one you should not miss!). Highly recommend for people who want to get away from everyday life.

We went to Sončna hiša in April. I somehow expected what the place would look like and it didn't let me down. But what is more than just a design hotel is a service. It was superb! Girls working behind the desk were extremely helpful. One can see they enjoy their work and that is fantastic. Keep on!
We stayed in the room Manhattan and I adore glass shower. One can experience it a bit uncomfortable as there is no privacy if you have room mate, so keep that in mind when making reservation. Well, we enjoyed it.
