My family and I booked the hotel last minute for a 1 night stay. What can I say the hotel is very dated it has some wonderful features but this hotel is very dated. From what the owner told me it is being updated but this was not value for money, it is very faulty towers, during the late evening... More

The man who checked me in was unfriendly which got off to a bad start. The room smelt of mold, there was mold in the bathroom and in the room on the ceiling and around the window. I couldn't open the bathroom window. The bed was terrible, the mattress must be very old as it felt as if I was... More

Booked via work and despite confirmed booking hotel owner denied he had received it. He was really unfriendly on arrival and said he would make a room available for us. He also mumbled a very nasty word under his breath at which point I asked him to repeat this, which he didn't. This took 25 minutes. He didn't offer an... More

The staff is not very friendly, i asked to be seated at the window for breakfast however the guy handling the breakfast... More

Stayed in family room number 3. Room very dated. Beds very creaky when ever you moved. Double bed not very comfortable because of springs. Wall paper on ceilings peeling off looked a little damp. Curtains need replacing. Garden was a mess. There was plenty of hot water which was great. Breakfast was good. But service when you first went down... More

What a most delightful place this is. My wife and I and our dog stayed for a few days 12-16 July and will definitely return. We stayed in Room number 4 which was big, airy and had everything we needed The breakfast was top notch but the evening meal was absolutely superb. Thank you to Tim and all the staff... More

After 5 rings of the front desk bell, about 10 minutes later someone was finally there to check me in. Upon entering my room, I noticed the lock was broken. The room itself had a quaint charm to it, but was simply dated. I could deal with the tiny creaky-floored shower in the ensuite, but the dingy carpet was gross... More

Looked in for a drink and some food on a Saturday Lunchtime. Had to go looking for staff and disappointed bar food only served in the evenings and not at all during the week. Bar and restaurant area ok but toilets extremely poor ...musty smell no light or lock in one of the cubilcles. The Hotel is a lovely detached... More

We didn't stay here, but we had supper in their restaurant. The food was delicious, and the price was good. They ran out of quite a few of that night's specials, but I think that was only because they were so delicious. Staff was very friendly and professional.
