We arrived at what must have been the end of he season, as the group of six were the only customers, or so it seemed. Our evening meal was quite nice local food however breakfast was very basic italian fare. During our evening meal we were treated to a local cultural group performance Our room had fantastic views across the... More

Arrived hot and tired after riding for several hours through the mountains. Fonni is a small charming village high in the mountains. The village is known for the beautiful horses stabled there. Room was spacious but a bit dated. there were four in our party and we were the only guests in the hotel! Wandered down to the pool for... More

I spent in this nice hotel 3 days and I am fully satisfied... When I travel for my pleasure I look for family runned hotels and now I have found the one I was looking for... Despite of its 3 stars, staff, restaurant and accommodation are really top quality: family Cualbu knows what hospitality is and they take care about... More

Wifi worked well. Liked the pictures in the dinning room Didnt do Night meals but was a quiet time of the year

Stayed for one night. Located in small village, within walking distance of everything. Spacious but basic room and bathroom with no luggage stands, no shelves or even a toilet paper holder. Very slow and small elevator. WiFi included. Poor breakfast.

On our roadtrip through Sardegna we ended up spending the night in Fonni. As we didn't find any other accomdations, we stayed at this place. When making inquiries the receptionist was very blunt and not at all helpfull. We were not allowed to see the room on beforehand (looking back there was good reason for it) and were told to... More

The best thing about the hotel is the fact that it is in a very unspoiled, untouristy town. Although Trip Advisor has this under Nuoro it is forty minutes or so drive away in the little town of Fonni, the highest in Sardinia. Fonni isn't exactly picturesque but it feels like the real Sardinia and is well worth a short... More

We had chosen this hotel for its location in a small quiet village in the mountains and for its well-reputed restaurant. I had booked long before our trip and reconfirmed a few days before we left. When we arrived on Friday afternoon, we were told that there would be a wedding on Saturday at noon and that we would not... More

Found this hotel on the internet and glad I did. Away from it all in the mountainous interior where no English is spoken and you can experience the real Sardinia as the locals' way of life has not changed. Clean comfortable room with super views, gorgeous pool [altho' unfortunately rather too cold to swim when we were there] and a... More

At first this is not an obvious place to stay; it's not on the main street and the first police officer I asked swore there was no hotel in Fonni - he wasn't telling the truth and luckily I found Cualbu which was a good find. Decor wise this place is not going to win prizes - lots of fake... More
