Excellent for families on holiday due to it's proximity in Cornwall to Truro, Holywell beach, St Agnes and Penzance etc. Great for tradesmen - good sized car park and near main roads. The pub does very reasonable evening meals - freshly prepared it seems. Breakfast is at 08:30, but sandwiches are left for those who need to leave earlier like... More

We arrived and were greeted with the bill requiring immediate payment which I've never experienced before! We were taken through the back of the pub up to a clean and functional room. TV, comfortable double, tea making facilities and our own ensuite which could do with a lot of updating. It's not the ritz but we were comfortable, breakfast was... More

Spent a few nights in the Kings head with my boyfriend as we were down visiting family. The pub it's self is very quaint and situated in a very quiet village. The room we were in was very simple with a very squeaky double bed which every time I moved woke me up, the wardrobe was on a slant, if... More

Simply Don't even think about staying here . only one toilet and one bathroom for several letting rooms , if the landlord smiles please excuse him he will probably be suffering from wind , wallpaper hanging off the walls etc etc I will save my energy.

Stopped here for 2 days and can't fault it. The prices for B&B \ even Premier inns around this area are more expensive than London, so coming across this place was a gem. The pub is in a tiny village which has 2 shops and a chippy (Which uses beef dripping, yum!!) other than that there is nothing else, so... More

A proper locals' pub with rooms in the heart of the village. Finding a late booking in high season in Cornwall at a reasonable price can be tricky, but The Kings Head ticked the boxes! Made to feel very welcome on arrival on a Friday evening. En suite room (Room 1) was comfortable, although the room faced the main road... More

Clean, smart, good food, landlord and staff pleasant and helpful also good local bar. Potential drawback for some would be the shared bathroom, but in five night stay this never proved a problem. Didn't get the chance to eat meals other than breakfast but my instinct tells me everything would be tasty and thoughtfully prepared. Location ideal for seeing Cornwall.... More

Lovely little pub with fantastic staff who were very accommodating. Arrived as the pub was beginning to get busy and was well looked after by the very friendly barmaid. The dinner was delicious and a full English breakfast included the next morning which was perfect. Very comfortable bed and a good sized room. Would definitely stay again.

Room, food, cleanliness, service all perfect.Convenient location on bus route (every 10 minutes) Staff helpful friendly & efficient. Wide choice of evening meals if required, & buses start at 6 am. If you are attending one of the hospitals, easy to get in at silly o'clock for any operations by public transport, & they do a packed lunch to eat... More

Lovely Sunday roast, beef was tasty and tender. Lovely selection of vegetables and the cauliflower cheese was gorgeous. Eveyrthing was served hot including the gravy. We will be back when in the area.
