This is a truly unique experience of Being in the midst of nature where there has been minimal disturbance from tourist. It's not just the Bears that we saw, but we watched as foxes, magpies, ducks, and various birds waited in the background for the remains of the salmon the Bears ate. The cabins are luxurious and the entire facility...

We spent 4 night at this remote, yet luxurious resort. We flew in on a float plane- a Cessna 206. The whole team from the manager to the chief chef and the three guides were true professionals. Each day you ride in there very unique boat for either bear seeing along the shore, or normally to a stream, most often...

If you want the best experience of a lifetime, visit the Kodiak Brown Bear Centre. Starting with the spectacular scenic flight from Kodiak City, words cannot describe the breath-taking views. Once you land, you realize you are in a world where very few have ever been. The location is awesome, meals (by Natasha) were excellent, guides Graham and Jake were...

The Kodiak Brown Bear Centre was extremely well organised. Accommodation was excellent as were the meals. The staff were always pleasant and informative. We saw plenty of wildlife including several Kodiak Bears, Bald eagles, Deer, Foxes etc. Access to the centre was via Float Plane as no cars exist at the Centre. We highly recommend the facility.

The Kodiak Brown Bear Center is well worth the trip. Karluk Lake is a 50 minute float plane ride from Kodiak. The lodge is small and intimate. Four self contained well equipped luxurious lodges with stunning views over the lake. A small dedicated staff that is focused on making sure that you are well looked after. Wildlife on the doorstep....

The facilities provided by the KBBC are world best practice, staff are warm, welcoming and truly Alaskan and the abundance of wildlife...

We recently visited the Kodiak Brown Bear Center and were thrilled with the experience. The cabins were excellent - much nicer than you would expect when you hear the word "cabin". The food was fantastic and varied. Meal times vary around bear viewing activities and were always hearty and tasty. The staff at KBBC was always anxious to make our...

My husband and I visited the KBBC July 31 thru Aug 4, 2014. The trip from/to Kodiak city to/from Camp Island in Karlak Lake was completed in a single engine float plane that would carry 4 passengers. This is the only way to reach the island. The cabins are very clean, well appointed and comfortable. The meals are served family...
