If you want to relax, you've come to the right place… Owners Marty and Marion Owen are long-time Kodiak residents. The Cliff House B&B is located on the ocean, which means you can watch sea otters, boats, eagles and sometimes whales pass by. Nestled near the woods in a quiet neighborhood, the Cliff House B&B is ideal for families, friends traveling together, and independent travelers. We offer 2 unique accommodation setups: 1. The Suite of Murals (3-bedroom apartment-suite with kitchen) 2. The Ocean View room (private room with queen bed on the other side of the house) In addition to the B&B, Marty and Marion Owen operate Galley Gourmet, a unique 3-hour wildlife viewing/gourmet dinner cruise, a local and visitors’ favorite since 2003. Our motto: Renew where nature meets hospitality.
Marty and Marion Owen are fabulous hosts and they make their guests very comfortable. The setting is superb and the flower and vegetable gardens are remarkable. A unique and memorable spot on Kodiak Island in Alaska.

Marion and Marty were great hosts and the accommodations were beautiful. An absolutely serene and quiet hide away just minutes from great restaurants and downtown. The hosts go above and beyond to make sure all your needs are met. If you're traveling with kids, there is a park across the street that makes the cloudy days and down time welcome. Marion's art work and stunning tiling in the complex make it feel like a magical escape. I highly recommend it!

Cliff House B&B offers a beautiful view of the water and surrounding area. Marty and Marion offer a wealth of knowledge on Kodiak, wildlife, fishing and of course gardening! We had a wonderful stay and would certainly stay again!

A breath-taking view with generous hosts that are passionate about the town of Kodiak. We enjoyed every minute of our stay with Marion and her husband. Our breakfasts were simple yet very tasty and healthy. We were impressed with Marion's beautiful gardens and also took advantage of a dinner cruise on her husband's boat, which was incredible and also highly recommended. I highly recommend a stay with Marion at the Cliff House B & B. Additionally, we were also impressed that, as we shopped around the various restaurants, shops, and coffee shops, at how highly regarded Marion and her husband were in the town of Kodiak.

Lovely place with amazing views and kind friendly hosts. I stayed here with my two sisters and had a lovely time. The view out our window of the bay was beautiful and a bald eagle kept flying back and forth in front of our window to feed it's young. Marty and Marion are gracious hosts that go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Marion has a gorgeous garden of flowers and veggies and breakfast was simple and nice. Wonderful stay!

We didn't stay at the B and B as it was booked. We did take the dinner cruise. Marty and Marion offer an exceptional dinner cruise. We saw lots of animals and had an amazing dinner of fresh scallops along with sides and a salad from Marion's garden! This is an amazing evening.

Great rooms overlooking the ship canal and some magnificent scenery. Marion and Marty Owen are gracious and excellent hosts with a nice homemade breakfast. It is a $25 cab ride from the airport and a 25 minute walk to restaurants and the main down town area.

We're happy you enjoyed the scenery, Larry. The nesting pair of eagles are busy tending to their chicks and the sea otters glance up at the house occasionally with a, "Where's Larry?" look.

We didn't stay at the B&B but did go out on the dinner cruise one evening. What a treat, worth every penny we paid. We met at the boat I. The downtown harbor. We cruised around for a couple hours, seeing puffins, sea lions, harbor seal, sea otters, and beautiful scenery. Once anchored in a small quiet cove, dinner was served. A yummy fresh from the garden salad, followed by a delicious sockeye steak with a pesto on top, served atop a bed or mixed brown rice and a side of fresh sautéed veggies from their greenhouse. And for dessert, a fresh baked scone topped with a rhubarb sauce. Outstanding! Don't forget to bring your favorite bottle of wine.

We stayed 3 nights at the Galley Gourmet . Marion and Marty built a very clever place looking over the water. One wing has 3 bedrooms sharing a bathroom and a kitchen/ main room. Another room with a private bath is in the main house. Look at their Internet site. The place is modern, super clean, well appointed and bright with Marion's mosaics. Marion makes sure to match breakfast and snacks to the taste of her clients. Being French, Marion made sure we had baguettes and cheese and introduced us to a French family leaving on Kodiak. Marty, the harbor master of Kodiak will pick you up at the ferry. We will definitively return to the Galley Gourmet, to be again, treated like good friends.
