We have been to Gibson’s Landing many, many times and have always stayed at the Caprice. Lois and Jeanette have always made us feel welcome and are very accommodating to our needs. The rooms are well appointed, clean and comfortable for either a short or more lengthy stay. Nicely located to the many attractions that Gibson’s provides. Located in a quiet area but close to the 101 highway.

This well established b&b is a consistent best bet - owners welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable, property immaculate, well-maintained, comfortable, in a quiet neighbourhood on the west of Gibsons proper [minutes to everywhere]. Ocean views, pool and hot-tub, with parking feet from your room door [each of the three rooms has entrance from the outside]. The breakfast has been revised to provision of home baked muffins and a variety of fruits to the room, with Keurig coffee capacity in the room, as the owners have ‘graduated’ from table service. Pet friendly ! ! I’ve stayed numerous times and consistent excellent facility and service have been notable. For being a 40 minute ferry ride from Vancouver/Lower Mainland (and 15 min drive from the ferry terminal) this is a great opportunity, to be highly recommended. [Of course, make reservations on the ferry, both directions, if you can.]

I was travelling alone on a summer road trip through the Sunshine Coast. Stayed for two nights at Caprice. Very quiet, lovely place. The hosts are very friendly with great stories to them (bought 4 :) I was on the ground floor (27?), large room, right next to the pool and hot tub. Wonderful yard and gardens. Mama deer with baby visited each day. Birds eye view of a Eagles nest with eagles in it through the trees. Wifi not very good but that was a blessing - get off your electronics and enjoy the grounds!! Breakfast was minimal, in your room, but was perfect to get me going and out the door for the day exploring Secret Beach which was very close by!

I usually stay at the Garden hotel which is by my work when in Gibson. I will ask my travel desk to book here. This B&B is about a 5 minute drive to upper Gibson. It is down by the water and the back yard has a view thru the trees of Georgia straight. The back yard is really nice with huge old fir trees standing 100 feet high and there is a cute little swimming pool and hot tub and outdoor patio furniture. The house has separate entrances for the rooms so you don't have to walk thru the house to get to your room. My room was quite spacious like a hotel room with it's own bathroom, bar and fridge, and decent size T.V. This place is better than the Garden hotel for QUIET. It is extremely quiet and I didn't hear anybody making any noise in the three nights stay. The beds were superior to many hotels I have stayed at. The breakfast part of the B&B might be a little short if you like big breakfasts. There were two very good muffins and some fruit each day. No protein. This however does not bother me as I am always on an expense account anyway and I usually eat at the Black Fish. It might bother people who expect a good breakfast or need protein right away when they get up. One thing I noticed and recommend is this> the huge fir trees are all over the property and you will park under them. My car is newer and has immaculate paint. I noticed that Pitch or Sap comes off the fir trees and I noticed this first day on my wind shield, hood, and top of the car. It is really sticky stuff and will not come off with any cloth or paper towel. You just can't get this stuff off your car without buying some car cleaner. I got some "bug tar and sap" removal Armor All tissues and spend 10 minutes each day removing spots of the sap from the car. That might be an issue for a car show guy. Because the place is so nice and clean and well kept and quiet it didn't bother me to do this chore.

Thanks for this review Marc. Sorry about the sap. It comes with living in a forest. As for protein I usually put cheese in the fruit basket and yogurt in the frig. Sorry if I missed this. Hope we see you again. Jeanette

We stayed for 2 nights the 3rd week of June. Jeanette greeted us and is a very friendly and lovely hostess. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. The yard was well kept and the flowers were beautiful. Very quiet in a treed location. There was an eagle's nest that we could watch the parents guarding the young. The place had everything we needed and was very quiet in the evening. Would recommend to friends and family. Thank you. Ron and Sherry

This quaint B&B is nestled in the old growth forest of the BC coastline. The hostesses were very friendly and generously upgraded our room! The grounds were beautiful and we enjoyed the pool, hot tub and ocean view. Our room was spacious, clean and the bed was comfy. We enjoyed homemade muffins, fruit, yogurt and cheese for breakfast. Thank you Lois and Jeannette for sharing your home with us!

My wife, son 24, daughter 20 and I spent 6 nights at the Caprice B&B during our time on BC's Sunshine Coast Langdale (Gibsons) to Lund. It was nice to have a place to come back to every day. I enjoyed quiet times reading and reflecting on my life while sitting on the swinging bench and being soothed by the view of the ocean, trees and the sounds of birds. Twice we saw deer come into the yard! One day the four of us rented two kayakes for the day and we paddled all around Keats Island. We saw seals and their pups! We had a nice meal at Moly's Reach, which was the "Beachcombers" hang out in the CBC TV series. Thank you Jeanette and Lois for your kindness and hospitality. You have a beautiful place. Don't want to make this sound too negative as the Caprice has a lot of positive aspects. We stayed in room 27 which is on the lower floor. A very spacious room, almost a suite really. A great room for someone of limited mobility like my wife as it was walk in from the parking spot and no stairs. The grounds of the B&B are lovely and even though the weather wasn't great, I did get to use the pool and the hot tub.The biggest disappointment was the lack of what we would term a proper breakfast. A basket of fruit and some homemade muffins were OK for two days but I certainly could not take that for a week. We stayed at other places on the Sunshine Coast and for a similar nightly rate, got a full cooked breakfast. I don't think we would have stayed here if we were informed about the breakfast before booking. Having breakfast with other guests and the proprietors was a good way to start the day in other B&B's that we stayed at. I think we know the reason why there is no cooked breakfast and understand that. It would have been nice to be informed.

A beautiful and quaint quiet place to relax. Very helpful and friendly owners. Janette was very informative, helpful and accommodating. As a chef, I was really glad to have access to the gas bbq so I could wine and dine my girl. Hot tub and wine, appies by the pool, view of the ocean and the sounds of birds abound. Really glad we took the trip.
