One cottage is open year round !Warm and cozy baseboard electric heat. There are only 2 private cottages on the property. Each cottage is as close to the water as possible without getting wet. The cottages are meticulously clean. White sheets, white duvet ensure that everything is fresh and clean ! When you arrive...fresh baking is on your kitchen counter. The fridge is freshly stocked for you to make a breakfast for a king or just a muffin or toast. There are Adirondack chairs at your cottage to enjoy a coffee or adult beverage and your own barbecue as you watch the sun set over the Toronto skyline.

Our cottage was a bit rustic, but very clean, cozy and private. A wonderful view of Lake Ontario. Decent Wi-Fi given the remote location (which is actually very close to a number of excellent wineries and restaurants.) Philip (the owner) is a first-rate host. He was welcoming and accommodating, even providing us with some provisions that we had forgotten to bring. We had a wonderful time and would recommend this to anyone!

Peaceful, clean and charming. That summarizes our experience. We were greeted by the owner with a charming warm smile and jests. The lovable lab, Sophie completed the picture. We read another review that criticized the proprietor's behavior. We didn't take offense to anything he said or did. We found him very charming and gracious. His knowledge of the area enhanced our stay immensely. The cottage was lovely and clean and the food fresh. There was hand sanitizer, Lysol products etc inside the cottage which was appreciated. And nothing beats watching the sunrise over Lake Ontario. So beautiful!

I agree the location of the cottages for wine tasting and hiking is very good. The cottages were clean and lots of outdoor seating. BUT if I had been made aware of the environment via a review I would not have stayed there. We were a group of 5 mature, active women who often travel together to hike and have stayed in a lot of B&B's and never have we experienced this. Our first morning the proprietor asked what we had planned that day and we said to hike. He replied with "he had other plans for us, to clean his windows or paint his house, as it is up for sale." In what world is that OK to say to women, especially paying guests. There had been other inappropriate comments like when asked what types of payment he accepted, apparently he would take 31 year old blonds. Later in the morning we also noticed he was flying a very large TRUMP -Make America Great Again flag. I do not speak for anyone else I spent the week end with however I would never had spent a penny with this condescending man had I read a review prior to agreeing to book his cottages.

My husband and I just stayed in one of the cottages for a two night winery getaway. Although there are two cottages on the property (plus the main house), the windows all point to beautiful scenery and the outdoor chairs is very private so that you don't even know if there is anyone else there or not. The cottage was spotless, everything felt fresh and clean and there were even real flowers inside! The sheets were so soft and the bed was very comfortable. The included items for breakfast were wonderful with a lot of variety. Next time we will be able to plan our food much better! The cottage is very close to the end of a street with a dead end so there is no drive by traffic and it is a beautiful spot to go and walk amongst the orchard trees and grape vines along the water. You can even take his dog Sophie for a walk with you and she is a very well behaved dog and very eager to go on a walk or slow jog with you. Philip is an exceptional host. He gave us a tour of the property upon our arrival and gave us full access to his spice garden, raspberry patch and veggie garden. He is very friendly and someone you can have great conversations with if you choose to do so. The location is very close to many wineries so you can go to quite a few with just a short drive home. I can't wait to book this cottage again, maybe when it is colder as I really want to try the fire place (during a heat wave it was not very appealing).
