We had a lovely day learning to cook Greek food and tasting it. Some of the nicest traditional food we've tasted and the tzatziki was to die for. There was plenty of wine and raki - our only regret was that we didn't stay over so we could sample more! Will certainly stay over next time, the rooms looked lovely...

We enjoyed the hotel very much. We only stayed for one night, but it was peaceful and had hot water. She will show you the different room options and let you choose. You may want to note that with our cheap room the refrigerator was in the communal hallway.

I stayed at Argyro's for five nights in June. The room was spotless, the village is very pretty, Argyro's breakfasts and suppers delicious -- and excellent value. But as others on this site have noted, it is Argyro's wonderfully warm, generous personality that makes this place feel so different from every other place I have ever stayed. She is the...

We spent four nights here over Greek Orthodox Easter and were made very welcome. Argyro's family assembled for the traditional meal at midnight and guests were invited to join the celebrations. In the evening on Easter Sunday there was food, drink and traditional live music and dancing in the village and it was wonderful to watch the locals enjoying themselves....

In this case meant as it sounds. It is the only place in this village you can stay overnight, There used to be another "B&B", but it´s closed. But stay for a night or seven you must do. Kritsa is one /the?) oldest village on Crete and has the most spectacular surroundings. Walk the cage, visit the ancient town of...

Argyro's place is small: it has about 10 rooms. The village of Kritsa is very representative of Crete. Argyro will welcome you as a family member while respecting everybody's privacy. Breakfast is included. One can also eat lunch and dinner. Argyro serves typical Cretan food and it is delicious. The fresh ingredients come from her farm on the Katharo plateau....

I have just spent two glorious weeks on Crete, I stayed the entire trip in Argyro's Rent Rooms. I have stayed with Argyro on at least four previous occasions over the past 11 years. Her rooms are top of my list when considering a trip to this island. Argyro's rooms are immaculate, bed sheets & towels are refreshed every two...

Yes it is the only place you can stay in Kritsa. But it is a very clean and nice place. Mostly becouse the owner (Argyro) is who she is. A warm and open person with your wellbeing always the most important issue. Very good food, atmosphere and the benefit of beeing in a old and quiet Cretan village. Highly recomended

We stayed here for 3 nights in late July and it was out first time here, despite having known about Argyro for almost 14 years. We are so glad we did and cannot believe we have waited so long. This is a little gem of a hotel. The owner is lovely and it felt like we were instantly part of...

Had a wonderful one night stay with Argyo. We made a spur of the moment early morning booking and, despite turning up a couple of hours early, we were warmly welcomed and shown to our very comfortable room immediately. The host could not do enough to help- she advised us on not only what to see in the local area...
