Where to start This EASILY tops our list of B&Bs we’ve used over the years. From the impeccable communication when we booked through to our departure this morning nothing was too much trouble for Alison our hostess In our room we had every amenity we could imagine, including several that others can only dream of. Such as copious usb charging outlets, a spare extension lead for any other charging needs. There was bottled water, milk and even a complimentary bottle of local beer in the fridge. Epsom salts in the bathroom for those post-walk baths. We even had Alexa on hand to answer any question we might have had about the locality. This was great for checking each days weather forecast For breakfast, she can only socially distance two couples at a time, but with only three rooms that’s not a huge logistical challenge Breakfast was ordered the night before and cam with unlimited tea/coffee, toast, jam, marmalade, juice etc etc etc. In fact very little at Bwlch y Fedren is limited. If we’d run out of milk or anything in the room, she’d have been only too happy to replenish There’s ample off-road parking, just make sure you look for the mirror opposite when turning right out of the driveway There are 2 or 3 great places to eat just a short walk away (and a neat country pathway to save walking down the road) There was an outside seating area (or two) - great for a warm evening. Even a hot tub! This is a bed and breakfast that others should be judged against - and they’ll pretty much all fall short We’re already planning a return trip Thanks again Alison PS And all this was managed whilst still adhering to the strictest Covid controls you can imagine

Room Tip: Look for that mirror to exit the driveway. It’s under the roof of the bus shelter (?) opposite

We have been coming here now for 12 years and just spent 5 nights here with Alison and David. Our first stay in 2009 was awesome and the bar has risen year on year. Alison is the most wonderful host. The rooms are faultless with exceptional attention to detail and, in the unlikely event you haven’t found what you need Alison will get it for you. The breakfast is unbelievable and Alison caters for all. Fill up for the day. Quiet location in the heart of Snowdon but handy for Porthmadog and some amazing walks and the beaches of the Llynn peninsula. Can’t praise this place enough......go on book you, deserve it........just don’t book my week.

I would definitely recommend a stay here. Alison the host is incredibly thoughtful and thinks of everything with lots of extra touches to enhance the guest experience. Our breakfast was delicious and there is a wonderful terrace to eat in the sunshine with gorgeous views. The room was lovely and the en-suite facilities are excellent. There is on-site car parking and a lovely garden to sit out and relax in. Alison has thought of everything for covid compliance.

Firstly, do not try and find this accommodation via it’s postcode in your sat-nav, ‘cause it won’t get you there. On arrival we were met by the owner, Allison (very friendly and amiable) who showed us to our delightful room with really everything one could desire for a break of however long. Bath robes, slippers, washing up liquid, tea towel, make up remover (for the girlies) tea/coffee etc, etc. fridge and tv. The accommodation was spotless, with more than every precaution taken against the COVID-19 virus and this was more than evident when Allison ran us by the procedures she adopts for cleaning and sanitising the rooms. The grounds overlook a lovely valley with more than enough decked seating area foe all her guesta. Breakfast was individually cooked for each and comprised of delightful produce, especially the veggie ‘Glamorgan sausages’. I’m not veggie but am hooked on them. All in all, a wonderful two nights spent at Bwlch y Fedwen and if we are ever in the vicinity again will most certainly make a massive attempt to visit once more. Thanks Allison, you started our week in Wales on more than the right footing. Brian & Jan

When we arrived at the b & b the room was exactly as shown on the website. The room itself was immaculate and Alison had taken a lot of trouble to put little extras in the room, from earplugs to plasters, flannels to conditioner. We had cake on arrival and were made to feel very welcome. Alison ran through the Covid compliant system of ordering extra towels/ breakfast etc. Not once did we feel unsafe.. Alison took great care in everything she did. The choice at breakfast was excellent and the cooked breakfast was delicious, everything was cooked perfectly. (And the home made jam is scrummy). The b n b is situated close to lots of other attractions and we won't hesitate to book again.
