Unfortunately didn't get to sample the delights of this beautifully set out little hideaway. The rooms are fantastically decorated and the greeting by who I can presume is the owner was sublime. Unfortunately we weren't staying here, but at another venue across the road, we were offered a cup of fresh Yorkshire tea and cake upon arrival, which we mistakingly...

We had a girlie weekend in York and stayed at Primrose Lodge - the room was well appointed with all you could possibly need. The little things that make a big difference - tea and homemade cake on arrival (just what was needed after a long drive), an umbrella hangs on the door handle of the room (if you need...

I happened to be up in Yorkshire last week and I was looking for a good value B&B, ideally in the eastern side of the city of York. As it so happened, this little B&B was not only at a very convenient location, but well recommended by fellow TripAdvisor reviewers. Well, they are very right! It is a very comfortable...

We found this B&B after being badly let down by one that was closer to York centre but, this turned out to be the best thing that could have happened! Although Dunnington is a good four miles from the centre of York we were delighted to be there! We arrived fairly late on the Friday evening and we were greeted...

My husband surprised me with a stay here for my 40th, as it was close to family. We had a very comfortable stay and Deborah also made us feel very welcome, she even gave me a bottle of bubbles to start the celebrations!

After scouring the Internet for a B and B near York, how lucky were we to find Primrose Lodge. After reading all the other reviews, we just knew this would be perfect for my husband myself and our friend. Thankfully, no stairs to climb and lovely big rooms with clean comfy beds and enough space so we weren't falling over...

Ideally situated outside of the city centre. Beautiful, big, and we'll decorated Room 4. Food is typical of most nice B&B's. Stayed for 2 nights....not one bit disappointed. Room serviced well....little add ons like hot drinks, water, cakes, chocs made overall stay excollect.
