Everything about my stay here was lovely. The hosts, the views, diving, accommodation and food. It's very quiet and tranquil at Cabanbanan and provides a wonderful opportunity to relax and revitalise. It's one place in the world you really should visit!

I got my open water certification with Josef in 2012 and bring friends to Cabanbanan to snorkel or dive whenever I get the chance. The reef at Cabanbanan is beautiful and Josef is an excellent instructor. He is patient, knowledgeable, conscientious, and professional. Moreover, Josef and Vilma do wonderful work for their community in Romblon. They donate food to local... More

We had the most beautiful time in this place. Joe Matzenauer and his wife Vilma are the most friendly hosts, food is outstanding because it is homemade and without any additives, what we really appriciated. The bungalows are spacious and clean, each of them has a comfortable hammock and some bungalows are with a stunning view over the sea. Snorkeling... More

Lonley Planet raves about this place but we was a little dissapointed. We visited for the day to see if we would like to stay at the resort, however we felt a day was enough. Its not so 'paradise' like the Lonley Planet say's. The beach area lacks Palm trees, colour, flowers and chill out area, hammocks etc. Sure the... More

Swim with sharks! A very beautiful place only accessible by boat (20 minutes from Romblon) Bungalows are in the jungle and the view is incredible. Very quiet and relaxing place with a private beach... The food is very good and the family has been so welcoming

Having heard some great reviews about the protected house reef, my boyfriend and I decided to go to Cabanbanan for a dive. We were collected and brought to Cabanbanan Beach Resort via boat. The boat trip in itself was beautiful and when we arrived it was very serene and peaceful. Josef (the owner) is a master instructor, he is very... More
