Fabulous, remote, hotel tucked away in the trees of Mae Chan - Si Kham. Huge rooms with balcony overlooking expansive forests and rolling hills. Special place, wish we'd had a little more time here - we were only staying for one night.

Extraordinary place with great views, fantastic rooms, extremely quiet surroundings and a very good restaurant. The main pool is huge and offers plenty of lounge chairs. Great wifi all over the resort. Difficult to do much better at such reasonable price.

We came here for 2 nights for my birthday. We were greeted with ice cold grape juice drinks and large smiles. We were taken to our suite on a golf cart where we were helped with our luggage into our very beautiful room. The room was huge with a lovely balcony looking out on the hills and mountains around. At this time, when it's so hot, the cicadas will set up a very loud chorus during the day! The food was fabulous and the Maître D was incredibly kind throughout all our meals, making sure we were happy. He found out that my husband was gluten intolerant and gave recommendations about food, even organizing some gluten free bread for our last breakfast. On my birthday, everyone seemed to know and wished me a happy birthday. After dinner that night, I was surprised with a cute birthday cake and a candle, and when we went back to our room, the words "Happy Birthday" were written on the bed with leaves and flowers. We have never been treated so well at a hotel, and, although pricing is not budget-friendly, it is totally worth it! We stayed in the Mountain Suite and were impressed by the cleanliness. The bathroom is bigger than some rooms in other hotels with 2 huge cupboards that open on both sides (inside and outside the bathroom). You could swim in the bathtub! The room provides free toiletries, a kettle with sachets of coffee, creamer and sugar. It has a small fridge. Everything you need to make your stay comfy! If you want a treat, this is the place!

Our stay was too short!! The staff made us so welcome and we are still cherishing our experience there. Everyone had smiles and wishes for us. The Maître D Mr Wah spread smiles and cheer each morning we went for Breakfast; greeting and serving. He made sure every one enjoyed the food. The environment was spectacular; as though we were in a National Park. The well maintained park in the property had some lovely animals and birds. The Jacuzzi was a large heated pool. The Suites were large and well decorated. We have been to over a hundred hotels and resorts in the many years we have been here and we can honestly say this is by far one of the best. Well, one could go on but I think there aren't enough words to express our gratitude, specially because we had gone there to celebrate our 45th Wedding Anniversary.

One needs to have words to describe resorts like Katiliya Mountain resort. Mesmerizing, Astounding, Awe-inspiring, Awesome, Magnificient, Outstanding, World class are just few words. If you havent been here, you cannot imagine what i mean when i say that WHY THIS RESORT IS NOT FEATURING IN WORLD RESORT LIST. In the mountains, Overlooking the forest. Balcony with breathtaking views. Luxurious. Puts the world of resorts to shame in a very silent way. What Great service. What great stone work, Very well planned and built rooms, great wood work, Great location. Just WORLD CLASS. Feel is top of the world. OWNERS.......................You have made the Travel industry Proud by making such a resort and the upkeep. DO NOT CHANGE the decor whatever people say. You have done the best and try to keep the best as best. Thats all. Katiliya is an inspiration for Travellers like me to Travel.

This hotel is near Mae Salong. It is quite ok; however, staff might not be at the level. They do not suggest any interesting places or restaurants nearby hotel. We had nothing to do while staying there and it is pretty far from any other places. However, hotel location is nice with nature view. Room is very huge and very comfortable. Facility is good with warm pool. Area of hotel is huge and lots of fresh air. Good to be there.

I love the view here both from the room and their restaurant. The room is spacious and clean. The food is tasty and not too pricey. And their buffet breakfast is good as well. Winter is the best season to visit here.

Many thanks to Katilya Resort for a great family break. The rooms were spacious and well-equipped, the food was excellent and the pool is large and comfortable. Our kids just loved spending time in the nature park that forms part of the resort - and the nature trails are spectacular for walks or just relaxing. Many thanks to Lisa (GM) and her very helpful staff for making it a great few days away.

We spent a week at the resort and were very happy with the service and responsiveness of the staff. Thanks to Khun Liza, the park was a wonderful experience for the kids and adults alike and the wife loved the spa treatment as well. Breakfast was limited but that was to be expected given the meager occupancy rate. The approach definitely needs some road works but other than that, well done team.

If you are really looking to get away from it all, and I mean all, then yeah this is the place for you. Because there is NOTHING around. No shops, not restaurants, nothing! Just you and the bugs! Positives: Again if you want peace and quiet, then this is the place. But it is very far from the city, at least 30 minutes, and will cost you at least 500 Baht if not more, and getting a taxi to the city will be an issue. Once you are here, unless you have a guide and driver, you are kind of stuck. I had a driver, so I was fine, I did everything I wanted to, before I went back to the hotel. It is peaceful and quiet. The rooms are quite far from the lobby, you will need a buggy most of the time unless you like a walk, up hills. The food is good, breakfast was a little lacking, but dinner menu I feel is good. This is the one very good thing I liked, the food at the hotel was good. Not so cheap, but good. Most of the staff is friendly and helpful. View from the room was nice, but some bugs. The massage service was also fantastic, professional and great!! Ok, now for some things I did not like… The wi-fi was terrible. They tried several times, but it was bad. The wifi was right outside my door, they moved it, but the signal was still bad. I tried to work at night, but could not, because I had no signal. Bugs.. yes, it is in the mountain so I expect some. But.. one night, I came back and there was a huge wasp flying around my room, and I mean huge! I called front desk they came, and captured it in about 15-20 minutes, they told me luckily didn’t get stung, as that one was deadly. It freaked me out. The housekeeping staff needs to close the doors when they clean the room. And I also heard rats, mice, or something lese running around in the AC vents, this was freaky also. The hotel needs to do something about this. It is hard, I know, but with deadly things running around hotels, it creeps people out. The rooms are dated, the colors are indeed mountain colors, but they are dated. The bathrooms are quite ugly, but clean. All in all, not bad, but if I came back, I may choose a different hotel for convenience and for variety. But if you are looking for something away from it all, you actually can’t really go wrong here.
