Thank-you for your feedback, we do not have nor have ever had (to my knowledge) a hoteliers licence here, it is for this reason we can not serve ant alcohol to resident or not after time. I am looking into getting these licences however there are no guarantees. Thanks again Simon

We had lunch here, and whilst the children's meals went down okay, my jacket potato was rubbish - undercooked, and missing the coleslaw advertised. I'd also asked for no dressing on my salad, which didn't get passed onto the chef. Expected better.

Really very mediocre! Two big lumps of mutton, chewy & tough (meant to be lamb)Frozen vegetables and packet mash! My dog enjoyed the second piece of lamb! ...My husband remembered the place from years ago as delicious... what happened? Won't be returning! .

Sorry to hear your Lamb Rump was not up to our normal standards, this is a very popular meal, unfortunately every so often - as with any cut of meat - we do get a poor one, our vegetables on this dish are fresh. Sorry again Simon

Took advantage of a winter deal from Old English Inns, had THE BEST ROOM in the hotel as they were quiet in January, with views over Cleeve Hill. Large room and decent sized bathroom, excellent menu and service in the restaurant, good beer and comfy places to sit - well impressed! Will definitely go back when in the Cotswolds.

6 of us stayed in 3 rooms for 1 night in January 2017. The location is fantastic with wonderful views overlooking Cleeve Hill and the town below. The rooms are a little date, but clean. The bed was lovely and comfortable and the shower was first class. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and all of us enjoyed...

We have eaten here for years but its previously high standards have been lacking on recent visits, and this meal was spoilt for our party of 7 by very poor service. Drinks weren't offered, and didn't come at all once ordered, our table was not cleared once we had finished, no one offered us puddings or coffees so we left...

Stayed here for 3 nights whilst on business. The hotel is somewhat worn in places but the bed was clean and very comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and both breakfast and dinner were really good. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

I spent 3 nights at the Rising Sun Hotel this week. It is fair to say some of the decor is looking a bit tired; however, this is more than overcome by the friendly and helpful staff, and the quality of the food. I'd definitely come back here for a weekend escape.

I drove up Cleeve HIll today to indulge in a little New Year Sunday lunch and I was not disappointed. The pork loin as pefectly cooked, so tender and tasty and the roast veggies (parsnip and potatoes) were so crispy... The view from the restaurant is lovely, even on such a damp and dreary day... Finally all the staff were...

My partner stayed here for two nights over Christmas. This hotel is situated on Cleve Hill with a view down over Cheltenhan Race course to the Malvern Hills in the distance. The rooms are large and spacious but there are a lot of steps inside due to the age of the building so not really suitable for people with mobility...
