This hotel is secluded; you would not go here for the night life! We went for the birding and had an excellent trip around the lake. The guide couldn't say the names fast enough as we saw a LOT of birds. The hotel will cook meals for you, which tasted great, and it was on our schedule! (I loved this... More

Tilletts Village Lodge was the first place we stayed in Belize. The food was good, the beds were comfortable and the people were friendly. I do however feel that given the cost of the room (very basic room) it is not worth the money. I also felt that the cost charged for transfers were excessive. The rooms need a few... More

We stayed for three days and had a pleasant experience. The rooms are a bit basic (and not cleaned daily), but the mother/son team running the lodge are friendly and welcoming. The food is excellent, served on premise - and given that there are few other places in Crooked Tree to eat, this was important.

Great little place to stay. Rooms in the process of being re-done. Food is excellent and the family (three generations) make the stay worthwhile by themselves. The location is very quiet except for the odd early morning rooster, beds are comfy, if basic. Would definitely return.

We stayed here with our two boys for two nights. It was nice to stay in a small village among the people. The manager Sean and his mother were super friendly. You can have good belizean meals at the small quaint restaurant on site. The rooms were very very basic but had hot water and air conditioning. I thought this... More

Crooked Tree is a small but beautiful place filled with amazing people. Tillet's Village Lodge is one of the smaller places to stay, but it was actually very peaceful and the room was really quite nice. It was spacious and had a private bathroom, plus mosquito netting around the bed just in case. I had actually wanted to stay at... More

We stayed at Tillett's Village for two nights in early November 2013. Unfortunately the Crooked Tree region had experienced heavy rains prior to our arrival, so the shorefront around the town, along with the only access road, was flooded. Most of the facilities including the Wildlife Sanctuary were closed. Our host from Tillett's Village, Sean, collected us at the main... More

Enjoyed our stay at Tillet's Village. The room was simple and comfortable and very affordable (hot showers and a fan). The food was very good. Sean, the manager, was fun to talk with but also made the stay very comfortable. We took the river excursion to Lamanai, which we highly recommend. You are driven from the Crooked Tree Village to... Tillett's Village Lodge is worth going. It's located in Crooked Tree, a real paradies for bird lovers. The best thing about this place is that you become a part of the family while you are there. In contrast to Belize City, Crooked Tree is a safe place where you are even invited to barbecues of neighbors or to a drink... More
