We booked a one night stay at Junior Suite in this property as an Mandarin Oriental Elite Member, as this is the only"luxury" option that is still open for business in Nov. We had spend over 30 night a year in Mandarin Oriental Property pre-covid and we continued to stay in Mandarin Oriental Hotel even during covid -19 pandemic. We had a early departure flight the next day, so we pre-ordered the in room breakfast the day before to have the breakfast delivered in our room at 715am as the hotel restaurant didn't start serving breakfast at 730am. We waited till 715 am but no one arrived. At 716AM, we received a call that the breakfast is delayed for another 15-20 min. At 725am, breakfast was still not ready, we then decided to leave. Call the front desk at 723am, no one picked up, called again at 730am, someone picked up, and asked them to send someone to help with luggage. Then breakfast show up at 740am, obviously, we had no time to consume them. Then the bellboy showed up at 741am , i specifically ordered the bell boy to put our luggage in our car that was parked beside the lobby, which walking distance is only 5 minute or less. When we get to our cars, no luggage was to be found, and the bell boy went missing. We are furious by this point, we complaint to the front desk but they accused us of ordering the breakfast too late, we ordered it at 10pm the night before, we were told by the in room dining, and double confirmed that the breakfast is to be served at 715am, we weren't told they couldn't serve it at that time. We also complaint where the bell boy is, the front desk getting more arrogant by this time. I was showed an printed invoice of X amount at check out but I asked for a receipt, but the front desk it would take her time to do so , and she said she would send me by email, as we were pressed on time, i have no choice to believed her, but when I got the receipt in the mail, it was Y amount. This is cheating I have also selected the elite benefit of daily bottle at checked in but we never received it, another way to cheat their loyal customer. The location of the property is at the worst part in the lake como. We tried the restaurant on the day we checked in, it take over 20 minutes to get a burger served to us when there is no customer at all in the restaurant. We thought it would be delicious given the time it took to cook, but it was utterly tasteless. The room decor is the ugliest i have stayed in MO property. We asked for heater in the room at 5pm, didn't received it till 1015pm in the room.Everything is just painstakingly slowed to get things done in here. They also didn't refill the bathroom amenity during turn down either. The bed is the worst bed out of all the hotel I stayed in Italy in this trip including FS Milan, Aman Venice, La Fermontina, Rocco Forte Torra Maiza I am paying over 1500 euro and the service you get is comparable to a one star hotel, this is absolutely unacceptable . I have complained to the general manager, deputy manager, and global sales director of europe, and no one ever replied back to me. Only the personal assistant of general manager reply and she didn't even offer any apology and claimed this is their standard of service. Is this how they treat a loyal MO guest? If so, you have finally convince me to take my business elsewhere SO FOR FUTURE GUEST PLANNING TO STAY AT LAKE COMO, YOU HAVE BEEN FOREWARNED, AND PLEASE DO NOT STAY AT THIS PROPERTY…
We have booked a lunch in CO.MO on our way to Bellagio and it was the best decision ever! The hotel is like living in a fairy tale! I visited few MO in my life but this is for sure the most magical i have been in! From the welcome to the departure everything is just perfect! The lunch was amazing, service professional and friendly, the view from the terrace breathtaking! We asked for a site inspection of the rooms and we were amazed from the decoration and the space, lovely balconies overlooking at the lake! They have different villas so it depends on the villas the rooms have different decor! For sure a dream hotel, words can describe the magic of the place! For sure the best place to stay in lake Como!
Hard for me to describe this place. It is the ultimate in luxury. If you could stay at this hotel in any city you would give it a top rating but the fact is has this wonderful location makes extra special. Come here if you want to get away from all the hustle and bustle of a city. The service provided is second to none. The entire staff here are hospitality professionals and cater to make a stay not memorable but relaxing. The food in the restaurants are excellent.
We had a great afternoon, sipping some prosecco on the terrace of the hotel. Beautiful hotel, with most amazing views of the lake. The autumn sun was still shining in the afternoon. Thanks so much to DANIELE to have left us with great memories for my son Can Luca! Antonello
Check in was slow as there was only one person checking guests in, but after that the experience was as I come to expect from MOs. We had a beautiful suite with a view of the lake and the property was a nice size for our dog and 12 year old girl. A nice variety at breakfast and the dinner atmosphere was amazing. They had heated terraces that enabled all the guests to sit outside and enjoy the view. The Asian fusion menu was excellent. Been wanting to come for a while and got delayed due to covid so am happy we finally made it.
