Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. Rooms were very nice and staff was attentive. We had reserved a duplex suite with terrace but when the room didn’t have a terrace, they fixed it and upgraded us to two bedroom suite with a terrace (We came here for the terrace). Gym was pretty good (great equipment but no view). Spa was very nice. Pool is fun (it’s a floating dock). Rent the kayaks and/or a boat (the later with wine and food from room service; they set it all up for us). Food at the bar and bistro was good (Met expectations) and view was amazing. L Aria had fantastic food and views, we ended up eating there a second time and canceling other reservation off site bc L Aria was so good. The bar was very good as well. All in all, it’s pricey but it delivered. We’d come back. Only drawback is you’ll get bored with food options after a view days, but you’re in Como so take a water taxi or regular car and eat elsewhere to mix things up.

This property is absolute perfection--the attention to detail in every small piece of decor does not go unappreciated. We had a massive modern one bedroom suite slightly up the hill from the main part of the property with incredible views. It's often hard to find modern accommodations in Italy so I was very pleasantly surprised. The Mandarin always does an excellent job of updating properties without taking away from their authentic charm. I could walk around the grounds for hours taking in the beauty. We didn't even want to leave the property much because it's so flawless. This hotel is built on a botanical garden so everything smells wonderful. The floating pool is a great touch--located right next to one of the coolest hotel spas I've ever been to. The food at the main restaurant was delicious and so was the room service. I see a lot of reviews saying the food wasn't amazing, but to be honest I don't think Lake Como is really known for food. This hotel blew the other restaurants we tried in Lake Como out of the water. The staff at this hotel could not do enough for us. Everyone was so kind an accommodating. It felt like there was a staff member for every guest there. I'm a bit confused by the reviews saying the service wasn't great because that was not the case for us!

After reading some of the reviews which mentioned issues with the service, we were a little hesitant about booking here. Very glad we chose to take the chance. The facilities are amazing, staff was super responsive and the food at the restaurant was superb. We booked boat excursions, cars, shuttles to town with very little issues. About the service: yes, this is a newer hotel and the staff is very busy, but we never once encountered anything but a can-do attitude and professional response. Sure there were some hiccups (the whole front desk layout did remain a complete mystery), but our overall impression was the service was excellent. The spa and the restaurant are tremendous. Would not hesitate to recommend to friends/family.

This hotel is simply amazing in terms of the property and its grounds. Wonderful views, nicely kept gardens and nicely decorated rooms. The food was also very nice, which is expected give you are in Italy. The let down was the service. Given the high season they just did not seem to be coping with the amount of requests. The menu I asked for at the pool arrived only when I was leaving. The concierge looked sweaty and tired, could not recommend us a restaurant for a quick booking, and honestly did not even try much except calling a few places. We did not ask anything much, just the usual stuff you would ask for from a concierge for tips. They quoted a very high price to a guest for a return trip to Bellagio and did not offer him any alternatives when he did not want to take it. So overall, the slow living in Italy could not deal with a full hotel at the peak tourist season. I have to say this is absolutely not the case for some other respected and well known hotels around Lake Como.

I have travelled all over the world to many luxury properties but the MO Lake Como distinctively stands out from the rest. The warm, friendly staff made us feel so welcomed, especially when travelling with three young kids. They did a tremendous job to welcome families. The attention to detail and thinking ahead to anticipate needs was beyond impressive. We rarely had to ask for anything because it was already taken care of in advance. We came back to our room to find many surprises, cupcake making for kids, book mark for my book, glasses wipe or a cord organizer, where just a few. The property is sprawled on the beautiful lake front and the rooms have magnificent views. The rooms are very spacious and beautifully decorated. The breakfast spread was so delicious. The complimentary shuttle service was a great benefit. I was so impressed with this property and experience and would highly recommend it. We will definitely be back.

The Mandarin in Lake Como is a gorgeous property, with luxurious rooms and quality experiences. The resort is somewhat remote so it is definitely a place you want to stay put and enjoy or be prepared for higher fees to get a car service. The hotel is very accommodating and will arrange services but given location, prices for these services can get pricey. The staff was gracious. The hotel is family friendly but be prepared if your room is located further away for lots of steps and walk to the main lobby and restaurants. You may want to ask for a room closer if you have a baby or stroller. The boat rides that you can book are a MUST! Beautiful scenery and great service. The breakfast was amazing! This is a luxury resort that should be on your bucket list for a beautiful trip to Lake Como.

The views and the rooms - are just breathtaking, the service - not amazing! Late night dinner (in-room dining) - not available, only club sandwich and pizza - which isn’t good at all :-( It seemed to me that everything I asked for is just impossible, which were always simple requests. For the price I would have expected much much more. I hope they get better.

Much more to follow, but stay well away from this property for the extremely poor concierge (extremely poor) service. They did not respond to our inquiries until the day of our trip and the experience has gone from bad to far worse with each day of our stay. Much more warnings to follow

Absolutely fantastic and will get better as time develops. The suites are delightful make sure your apartment isn’t in front of these gorgeous trees that could obscure your view. It is very expensive but it’s not overpriced. The food is good not great but good. Breakfast is not as good as other Manderine properties…especially Dubai…and the constant presence of “ Wasps” will drive you mad. Breakfast is somewhat labor-some and can take forever for a coffee….the average breakfast is compensated by the view. The bar is gorgeous but service takes just too long even though when you get it it’s really good but at the price they charge it isn’t good enough. Porterage and concierge services very good . When they get their act together this will be a world beater but just not there yet. The gym is very cramped and for this standard hotel unacceptable …they only take 4 people at a time and you have to book🤦‍♂️…..‼️‼️‼️it’s 2 star
