Lovely hotel. Grand old house. Suite we had was amazing!! Loved the location and the interior of hotel is beautiful. Only reason this not perfect review - evening meal. Basically after our starter arrived - nothing for nearly an hour. We had to chase it up several times. It was a shame as it was lovely - hotel to their credit admitted somehow our main meal order has been missed & we we not charged for the food, All in all - lovely hotel with some faded grandeur which adds to the experience and we would stay again!! The bar staff are exceptionally lovely & helpful - real credit to hotel!!

You can't fault the hall or the grounds, So picturesque, comfortable and interesting. We stayed in a manor room which was large with a modern bathroom and all facilities. The towels large and fluffy with bathrobes. The grounds are wonderful - with croquet, table tennis, boules and tennis. Breakfast was a buffet unless there are few guests then it is all table service. Dinner was adequate - with a divine dessert. Staff all helpful and friendly. A few niggles which stopped hot getting 5*. * The pool is a good size, but be aware that it is open to members who are non-residents, so after school and weekends there will have families. But the changing rooms are not adequate. The men's had no shampoo. The women's (why there are "gentlemen" changing rooms and "gals"?!) had only two showers, no cubicles and hardly any room to change if there are more that two People in. * The room had plugs and mirrors - but no plug that was near enough to a mirror to dry and style hair comfortably. * Breakfast was OK but lacking in continental foods. Early on the fruit ran out. We asked about it and it was said to be on hand. But the person "forgot" and was never replenished. That shows that no-one was checking the buffet and making sure everything was to order. …

We are writing to express our sincere thanks to everyone at Stapleford for making this such a happy and memorable occasion for us and for our guests. We would like to mention Emmie, in particular, who was especially approachable and responsive to our needs as we planned the reception. We are immensely grateful to her and to everyone who looked after us so well. They were, without exception, welcoming, pleasant and solicitous. The food was excellent and was presented with panache and attentiveness by the staff. Julien impressed us hugely by his efficiency, his helpfulness and his concern for our satisfaction. The hotel and grounds were at their splendid best and provided a wonderful and unforgettable backdrop to the occasion. We began our day at a beautiful and ancient Leicestershire church: we ended with a truly impressive reception at what must be the county’s premier wedding venue. I organised a hen party for my sister at Stapleford park and what can I say? The entire team were AMAZING!!!! Catering for 22 fussy women was made to look incredibly easy… nothing was too much to ask. We were given an entire room (with no deposit required) which made the whole hen night organising seamless and hassle free! - they were flexible with last minute changes and a few of us requested several different teas each time from the menu so we could try various ones and again the team were so happy to accommodate!!! A special shout out to Emmie who I feel I’ve known forever, her customer service is exceptional and also our main server during the afternoon tea. Stapleford Park was such a fantastic venue for our intimate wedding. All of our guests had the most amazing time and everyone commented on how fantastic this venue was. All of the staff were amazing and very happy to help us and to accommodate all of our wedding requirements. They were also amazing at catering for me as a coeliac, they produced our whole wedding menu / evening food / breakfast to be gluten free so that I didn't have to worry. I couldn't have wished for a more perfect day in a more perfect venue! The grounds and gardens are beautiful and really help to accent the amazing house. The rooms were also wonderful, the beds were fantastically comfortable and there was so much space in them all. We also popped down to the swimming pool during our stay which was fantastic and nice and peaceful. …

I went for some mother/daughter time, celebrating a big birthday for me and new job for her. The hotel is in the most wonderful setting and that cannot be faulted. However once inside it is a bit tired and in need of some TLC. The room was fine but very hot and we had to get someone to come and manually turn the radiator off as we were unable to do it ourselves. The room was very peaceful though. The service in the hotel was mixed. The receptionist who was present initially practically ignored us and the just passed us over to another person - no explanation or welcome from her at all. The Second Lady was fine and very friendly and to be honest seemed to be doing all the work. The food was ok but very small portions and very limited for anyone with any dietary requirements. We were vegan and vegetarian and there was a very limited choice - despite being asked at several points during the booking and confirmation process for any dietary needs. Normally when paying this sort of money for food and a hotel they are on it with offering all the options for us not making us feel alienated, which is what our waitress did. We cancelled our booking for the second night in the restaurant as a result. Also when asking for vegan spread for out toast the next morning we were told there wasn't any - despite having not with our bread the previous night - I mean come on guys its not hard and is readily available in supermarkets. The spa however cannot be faulted. We had the most wonderful and relaxed time there - all the therapists were lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed this. The gym is well equipped. Only comment about the pool would be that the whole pool area seemed a bit grubby and tired. Would I go back - yes definitely to the Spa but no to the hotel.…

We had our Wedding here on 6/4/23 and was the best day of our lives. Emmie the wedding co-ordinator was so lovely and so amazing at her job. She helped with every tiny thing that was asked of her. Our situation was little different too as we organised our entire wedding from Australia so she helped us feel relaxed about not seeing venue until 2 weeks before wedding by sending videos photos and just being amazing. All staff were so lovely and helpful. The venue was so beautiful and we had so many compliments on our venue choice. We are so happy with our day and have made so many memories!!! Can’t wait to see our photos. And we can’t wait to come back for our 1 year wedding anniversary!!

Beautiful old building and grounds. Our room was bright and airy overlooking acres of land with sheep grazing. Very good amenities in the room. The ladies on reception were very helpful and friendly. Service at the bar was quite slow so had to cancel our order as we were going out. We did come back later and ordered drinks at the bar ourselves. Beautiful room for our breakfast very good service, but unfortunately our cooked breakfast was cold which was a disappointment. Otherwise we enjoyed celebrating our anniversary at your wonderful hotel.

Weekend stay with family. Beautiful hotel and grounds. Staff were all very nice and helpful. Food and service was lovely. Visited Melton Mowbray. Males in group went for track day in Prestwold which they thoroughly enjoyed. Grounds are beautifully kept, views are breathtaking.

There was no question for us about having our wedding at Stapleford. The venue means a lot to us and its beautiful setting made it a no brainer. Our day went without a hitch and we couldn’t be more thrilled. We owe everything to Emmie, our wedding coordinator, for making everything fall into place. I don’t think she ever said no to us and no request was too much. From her friendly emails right up to the heart shape made from petals on our bed on the night of wedding, we honestly couldn’t have asked for someone more amazing to make our dream day come true - she’s made it into the family now! Another huge thank you to Raj who was the manager on duty on the day and made sure everything ran perfectly. We are so grateful that he made everything easy for us.
