A long weekend at Susan's little hotel, where everything is at hand. A good pub nearby, the sea , and great walks to the cliffs. The rooms are very comfortable, the shower done to a high standard. Locally produced shower gel, shampoo. The breakfast is an event in itself, very imaginative, and served with great attention to detail. Top marks for the garden too. They have even given us a ride as it rained. A strong recommendation.
My wife and I spent 2 nights at Daly's House, and my only regret is we were not staying longer! Susan was the absolute best host. When she offered us a beer upon our arrival we knew we were in the right place. The room was comfortable with a very peaceful view. The showerhead was maybe the best in any hotel we have ever stayed! Breakfasts were delicious. The view of the Cliffs of Moher from the dining table almost didn't seem real. Her advice on where to eat and drink were helpful as was her travel advice. When we needed to relax, Susan set-up our Prosecco and beer in the lounge area of the house which was very helpful. We also heard her telling other guests she would drive them to the horseback riding place as they had no car. It was a completely satisfying experience and we would not consider staying anywhere else if/when we return to Doolin!…
We had a fabulous stay with Susan, starting with a welcoming drink. The rooms are a nice size, and the shower was wonderful. Breakfast was delicious, with numerous options. The house and our rooms were spotless. Susan provided great recommendations for activities, dining and music in the pubs (which was just a short walk down the hill). Bob and Ted made the B&B feel like home. Highly recommend and hope to return someday.
Stayed at Susan Daly's place while in Co. Clare; 3rd time staying here. Susan's home is beautiful, amazing views, incredible gardens, excellent service, hospitality and food. I can't recommend Daly's enough. True Irish hospitality!
I can't recommend Daly's house enough! The house is beautiful and surrounded by a lovely garden and amazing views. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. We stayed for 6 nights and had the best time. Susan took such good care of us and really made us feel like home. Breakfast that Sean made for us each morning was amazing, don't miss out on the porridge...! Both Susan and Sean helped us with a lot of recomendations. To be honest I could have stayed in the house all week just chatting over a beer with the two of them. Love Doolin and Daly's House, definitely coming back!
I honestly cannot say enough good things about Daly's House. Susan and Kate (her daughter) were absolutely incredible. They made our stay beyond perfect. We stayed in room #1. It was spacious and cozy and the first thing Kate did when she showed us our room was offer us tea, coffee, and beer. The thing that makes this B&B so special are all of the extra little touches that show just how thoughtful Susan and Kate are. There were extension cords and converters so plugging in our phones next to the bed was very easy. There were little ginger snap cookies to accompany the tea and coffee selection, which also included a variety of milks and sugars (both white and brown) so you could easily make your tea/coffee to your liking. There were 2 luggage racks so my husband and I each had a place to put our bags. All of the little thoughtful touches really impressed us. The included breakfast was the best breakfast we had our entire trip. The brown bread was delicious, the yogurt and granola with fresh berries was delicious, and our morning meals were perfect. I got Susan's Favorite omelet which had spinach, cheese, and bacon on it. Everything about our meal was exceptional. Susan's little doggy came and greeted us at our table as well. He was so sweet. I snuck him a little piece of bacon and he was very excited about it. If I remember right his name was Ted. Susan even emailed us the recipe for her brown bread, which I cannot wait to make. We chatted with Susan for a bit about where we were headed next (Galway) and she gave us a wonderful sheet of suggestions for places to visit there and on the way there. We visited quite a few of the places too! Morans on the Weir, Hazel Mountain Chocolate, and several of the pubs in Galway that she had listed. She was just delightfully helpful. Oh and her yard...it's so gorgeous it'll take your breath away. I took a video of it and sent it to my mother because she is an avid gardener. My mother is still talking about how Susan's yard is what her dream garden looks like. Also, the wifi was excellent and the rooms were a nice temperature. If you get warm you can easily open the window for a nice cross breeze. We had a view of an old castle out of our window. It was a truly wonderful experience. We will definitely be returning.…
Susan provides a delightful and hospitable B & B. She picked us up from the bus stop, made recommendations for our visit from visiting the Aran Islands to places to eat. The breakfasts were individualized, tasty well presented. When we returned with wet clothes, she dried them. Well done Susan your kindness is much appreciated. I know we will always be welcomed at the Daly House. Thanks for the experience. Jim and Ida
This was our second stay at Susan Daly’s House in Doolin and it was incredible. The location is perfect and the setting is remarkable — a beautiful home surrounded by gorgeous gardens with fabulous views of the Cliffs of Moher. The rooms were charming and comfortable, with very nice touches such as organic shampoo & body wash, a great shower and tea & cookies - so lovely. What was really remarkable was Susan’s hospitality - she welcomed us warmly, chatted with us in the sitting room over wine and Baileys, gave us fantastic recommendations on things to do/see in Doolin and provided a delicious breakfast served in a lovely room overlooking her gardens. Susan also went out of her way to arrange a guided cliff walk for us - one of the highlights of our trip. Daly house is the perfect Irish B&B, and Susan is the best hostess. Can’t wait to return!…
Amazing hostess, excellent recommendations, comfortable beds, beautiful garden, centrally located, and a delicious breakfast. Also, it’s so close to a trail with breathtaking views leading to the Cliffs of Moher. Perfect for a morning run.
Susan's Daly's House B&B was a welcome respite on our two week tour through the UK. When we drove up, there was ample parking and we were greeted by our incomparable host, Susan. When she took us to our room, I was speechless. What a view! She is also a master at the finer touches that make staying at a B&B so comfortable - cups by the sink, water in the room, beautiful hand soaps and body washes, lovely towels. The breakfast was traditional and delicious! The table was set to perfection. I honestly have nothing to suggest for improvement. She was also so welcoming with my three sons who joined me and my husband on the trip. I wish I could've stayed longer. I highly recommend Daly's House and hope you have the opportunity to visit Doolin...and Susan!
