Gentian Cottage served as our Irish Heritage family get together. We rented the cottage for a month and couldn't have been happier. We would not hesitate a minute to go back. Ann & Colin are two perfect hosts and attentive to all details. They are so accommodating and helpful in any questions about the area, things to see and do,...

We couldn't have asked for a better place to spend the holiday. Ann was the world's best host--we arrived at the cottage to hot spiced wine and a Christmas tree and went into Doolin for Christmas Eve mass at the local church and dinner at a pub. After a rainy Christmas (and a cold jump in the ocean) the weather...

This was a really nice cottage with great views of the ocean. We were there for a wedding so there was a large group of us and this cottage was perfect. There were 3 bedrooms, which each had its own bathroom, which was great for privacy, and there was also a 4th bathroom. It was in a good location about...

I would highly recommend this property. Beautiful home with everything you could need in it. Great location for touring. There were 8 of us staying in the house and we had lots of space. Looking out at the Aran islands at night time was the highlight for me. Ideal place if you need a nice relaxing break. Can't wait to...

There were 5 of us staying at the Gentian Cottage for 10 days. From the day we arrived to the day we left it was absolutely outstanding. Ann was so friendly and helpful throughout our whole stay along with a giving us a private tour of the castle near by. I 100% would recommend a stay here and I will...

We spent two entire months (February and March) in Gentian Cottage and wouldn't hesitate to repeat this any time. The whole house is furnished with love for detail, the kitchen isn't missing anything you can imagine. Families travelling with little children even find a nice baby cod, highchair, playpen, lots of toys and stair gates. One of the top highlights...

As other reviewers have noted Ann, the owner of Gentian Cottage, is a warm bubbly person who can not do enough for you. We spent 2013 Christmas at Gentian Cottage with our adult children who had travelled from Australia (we are living in Dublin for a couple of years) to enjoy an Irish West Coast experience. We arrived in the...

We spent four days at the O' Callaghan's Gentian Cottage in Doolin. Everything about the house was perfect. The layout was roomy and very cozy. The kitchen is a very easy space to work in with a roomy table to enjoy the home cooked meal. The O'Callaghan family were great hosts, hospitable, knowledgeable and generous. The views from every window...

We spent our first nights in Ireland at Ann's Gentian Cottage, which was built by her husband to be their family's home. It is certainly a traveler's good luck that Ann instead lives in the house below the hilltop cottage and this lovely home is available to us! The term cottage might imply small size, but Gentian Cottage is definitely...
