Not sure where to start! Everything about the whole experience was great! My wife and I had booked a 4 days/3 nights Tour and we were looking forward to the Amazon experience and we were absolutely more than satisfied. Anavilhanas Jungle Lodge located in the Anavilhanas archipelago is truly stunning. Located in the jungle, the lodge was seren, tidy, scenic and had all the facilities. A special mention to all the staffs inclduing the reception desk, the restaurant staff and the guides. Everybody was very hospitable, friendly and took great care of us. The itineraries are planned individually based on the package chosen and it is really well planned to enjoy the diversity of the Amazon and relax and spend sufficient time at the Lodge and use its facilities. All of the guides were really well informed, some being infact natives of the Amazon and also some formerly from indigeneous tribes themselves. Their knowledge and expertise about the ecosystem was exasperating and it was a dream come true. The food was more than excellent with sufficient vegeatarian and vegan options. Everything was planned and executed to perfection and we couldn't have asked more for one our bucket list destiantions.

I was blown away by how beautiful the place was. I was expecting to be roughing it a bit in the Amazon but that was certainly not the case here! Loved the rooms, the outings, the food and the staff was exceptional. I wish I brought more bathing suits as the pool and decks were lovely.

Too hot and humid for me Wish we had English - only speaking groups because I didn't understand Portuguese. Sit up front in the ride from the airport if you want to see. Bring quick drying clothing Your room key has your animal; that's your restaurant table (would have been helpful if we had been told that) Can order multiple items of food Juice is extra cost at lunch and dinner Bring light water bottle (their gift is heavy and not insulated) because you will want to carry it; fresh filtered water available for refills Bring your own snacks WiFi is available only in restaurant and lounge areas (not in lodges) Bush walk is more like a survivalist walk. You see almost no animals so no need for a big camera or binoculars. Panorama room has view of jungle from screened in porch the length of the cabin with hammock and wooden furniture. Two excursions a day On dolphin tour day, sit in front of the driver so that your view isn't obstructed by the boat driver. These are not ocean dolphins jumping out of the water (think glimpsing a fin coming up through the water and the guide shouting "there") Smoking area very near lodge and restaurant. Very hot and humid, reached a heat factor of 106

We stayed 3 nights there with Anavilhanas. I believe it's among the best in the jungle, but I would say they can still improve. We don't have much to complain about the staff, the food, the facilities, they are perfect. The activity to associated with the indigenous people didn't meet my expectation. Because it's more like visiting a poor small village, instead of to see Indians in the tribe. And there we don't see much of the exciting animals. The activity to see pink dolphin was which you can only see from a far place. You wouldn't have the chance to see them closely. I know it may be due to Anavillhanas' rule to coexisit with animals, but due to the visitors pay for it, it shoudl be like that. Especially you saw the pictures of seeing pink dolphin on there website(which would be a close contact with the dolphin). The drinks there (alcohol an non-alcohol) are not included in the package and expensives. On the first day there, they offered expired Cola with me, then substituted another one after I asked, which I think it's should not have happened in the most expensive lodge. I have been seeing many lodges there, considering how much we pay in Anavilhanas, I think Anavilhanas may have not provided much speciality to our tour.

The rooms were great, the facilities were great, the staff were great, the food was great and, most importantly, the trips were just awesome. Swimming in the Rio Negro with the kids is something that we will never forget.

We loved spending four nights at Anavilhanas with our four young daughters. Joao was our amazing guide and he catered our daily activities to suit the kids. We had great adventures! A nighttime outing, hikes, canoeing, looking for pink dolphins, etc. etc. The food was excellent, especially on the Riverboat. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will recommend it to family and friends, with or without children in tow.
