Very quiet place. Beautiful view over the dam. Please pass our appreciation to the kitchen chef as our food was excellent as the waiter who remained discret but always availble. We will come back to enjoy your lodge.

I was the happiest person this week...Why you ask me? Well, I was woken up to the chirping of birds, had sumptuous breakfast overlooking a dam, strolled on green pastures and relaxed at the pool side under the shade of a tree, had zebras and warthogs to give me company for Tea time, went on an amazing game drive and...

We attended our annual conference (the second time at this venue) and stayed at this venue for three nights. We were so delighted with the very tasteful food that was served and the rooms were in mint condition. The atmosphere is so relaxed with Nyala's and Zebra's wandering between the chalets and birds to please the eye of the birding...

We had our wedding at Mongena which was planned a year in advance from where we live in London. Exceptional value for money, friendly staff, delicious food, clean and spacious accommodation. The free roaming resident zebras and buck in the lodge were a bonus extra. We experienced good game drives and our overseas guests are still talking about this amazing...

Accommadation: spacious room and bathroom but very dirty, dust everywhere and webs in the corners The Lodge: Decent bar area and friendly bar staff. But no music, a run down bumpy pool table with torn pockets and terrible quality pool queues. No other games, activities available. The pool outside doesn't look very inviting although it is clean. Game Drives: Were...

We visited the Dinokeng area for a self-drive and at the end of the day visited Mongena Game lodge for a game drive and dinner. Due to a massive thunderstorm, we spotted not much game, but the storm made the drive an exceptional one with roads turning into rivers and trees blocking some of the roads. Staff handled the unusual...

Our stay at Mongena was all we hoped it would be. Very comfortable large rooms, spacious gardens and an inviting pool. The game drives were informative and we had excellent sightings on both the morning and evening drives. Certainly a place to return to.

What a beautiful and exciting place this is and also so close to Pretoria / Johannesburg. We stayed in a large and very comfortable bungalow at Mongena. The restaurant on site serves beautiful food and the view over the "pond" and the fields beyond is just fabulous. We had a few very relaxing days here, saw wildlife as soon as...
