The lady that runs the Auberge Tislite is delightful. Her cooking is delicious and the rooms are very cozy and clean. The view on the lake with the terrace overlooking the ducks and the water is simply amazing. It is a very special place with a genuinely warm hostess! I am so glad we chose to stay there.

The setting of Auberge Tislite is stunning on the edge of the lake with the terrace overlooking the water and the ducks, amazing place from were to enjoy sunsets. Wonderful and caring Malika, who runs the inn on her own, is attentive and helpful, especially makes sure that everyone is warm enough as it can be very cold on the...

What an amazing location & hostess to match! Is is wonderfully simple but Malika made sure we were never cold, despite a heavy overnight frost, could not possibly be hungry, & generally anticipated our every possible need. We assumed from previous reviews & the lack of mains electricity that there would be no hot water, but we were wrong! Having...

Though from a guesthouse perspective, very basic - most rooms have three or more beds, we had a room to ourselves with en suite bathroom (only cold water). The location is absolutely beautiful, right on Lake Tislite, quiet, peaceful, room and terrace facing the sunrise over the lake. Malika is a superb hostess and cook and knows the region, its...

Driving from Meknes via Aghbala we saw the beautiful lake appear below us as we drove down out of the mountains, pretty much in the middle of nowhere. Anywhere else in the world you’d expect to see pedal boats for hire, fast food stands, picnic crowds and the other supporting infrastructure that often blights natural beauty spots – but not...

Taking groups regularly to Morocco, this is a real mainstay for us as we cross the High Atlas. One never tires of amazed faces at the location beside Lac Tislit - with its local legend. The lady can give no more than she does. An incredibly hard-working soul, much involved in the local community, offers a sincere, warm and concerned...

Stayed one night in April 2013. It's not luxury.. but the location, the food and the hospitality was perfect. It's not quite in the "middle of nowhere", in fact it's on a major road through the Atlas Mountains - and yet it's on its own, few buildings anywhere near it, several miles from the nearest town, on the edge of...

We arrived at Imilchil after along days driving through the amazing Atlas Mountains. The hospitality of Melika is unforgettable. A simple double room with not the greatest shower but that doesn't seem to matter a jot. The breakfast was, like the evening meal, an absolute feast and as it was Ramadan Melika made sure we took all we couldn't eat...

in the middle of nowhere you find this lovely Kasba, run by Malika. It is at the foot of the lake and it is all peacefull, quiet and beautful here. we made an evening walk around the lake and drove to the other (bigger) lake where we were all alone. It was a great stop during our drive from Dades...

I'm so glad that Around Morocco Tours booked me and my travelling companion into this Auberge. It is a "Guesthouse in the Country" in a magnificent location beside a lake at Imilchil. The accommodation is in dormitory style but being winter time there were only 2 of us in a 6 bed room for the night. Melika is the woman...

  • Sunrise over lake Tislite
