Caerula Mar Club sits on ten secluded acres of oceanfront property along the eastern shore of South Andros in the Bahamas. Resting beneath the shade of lush palm trees, just steps away from a stunning beach, Caerula Mar’s Private Villas and Clubhouse Suites are made with sustainable, natural materials and feature breezy outdoor living spaces that encourage guests to immerse themselves in nature and feel at one with their surroundings. With a natural oceanfront setting and luxe amenities this resort evokes a sense of barefoot luxury. Secluded, nature filled South Andros offers an idyllic backdrop for couples, friends and family to reconnect and relax. The Caerula Mar team are devoted to the enjoyment of guests. The property features three dining concepts: Switcha, a whimsical café and smoothie bar, Driffs, a poolside/oceanfront bar and lunch location and Lusca, a Caribbean-inspired fine dining restaurant, areas for yoga and meditation, and adventures that range from sailing, snorkelling, diving and fishing. The chic island respite is a sophisticated haven for sun-seekers, nature-lovers, and travellers seeking an off-the-beaten-path escape to one of the Caribbean’s most beautiful, untouched and bio-diverse destinations.
From the moment we stepped off the plane with an easy, quick flight from Maker’s Air out of Fort Lauderdale Executive to our arrival at Congo Town we were welcomed by a warm staff with cold water, refreshing towels and a short ride into this quaint slice of paradise. I was enveloped in an atmosphere of relaxation and warmth. Greeted by Jasmine with a few questions, a delicious welcome drink and brief tour of the property and our room we felt right at home. The hospitality extended by the staff from LaToya in the adorable Palm Beachy cafe in the morning, Carlissa by the pool bar/restaurant making delicious drinks and serving yummy lunches, Nikki with wonderful service for dinner, Kim providing excellent deep tissue massages (and we are picky), Shonique taking the time to guide us to browse the adorable boutique, Charlie for the informative, delicious and entertaining conch experience and finally Ron and Margaret constantly checking in with the guests to ensure their stay was nothing short exceptional and memorable. The charm and warmth of the decor added to the overall ambiance, creating a cozy and inviting environment that felt extremely welcoming and comfortable. The dining options were limited for dinner but they were all exceptional and it was honestly nice to have only a few options. Every meal was delicious and gourmet. We also really enjoyed the desserts too! Whether enjoying a leisurely meal in the dining area or unwinding by the gorgeous pool area listening to the sound of the ocean, every moment spent here was a delight. Without a doubt, this hidden gem offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We have visited many places around the world and this is one of the most relaxing. I can't wait to return and experience its tranquility once again! Needless to say, highly recommend!

What an incredible experience! It lived up to all expectations and I honestly have nothing negative to say about this place. I did watch Renovation Island and was so excited to check out the final product. Sarah and Bryan clearly have skill, talent and taste.
The property itself is gorgeous. The attention to detail, good job Sarah!, is awesome. I loved seeking out the things we saw evolve on the show. The Lusca image on the wall behind the bar is a standout. Love the light behind it Bryan! Our room was beautiful. We originally had a Clubhouse Suite Premium booked and then when my husband watched the show he saw the episode about the Clubhouse Suite Signature and I believe it was Sarah who said on the show that those were her favorite rooms so we called and switched it to that. It was beautiful! I’m so glad we did that although the other rooms looked great too. Spectacular ocean view!
The food was 5 star! Kinda crazy how you can be in such a remote location and have food prepared at that level. Very very impressive!
The staff was as great as the resort was beautiful! From Adrianne picking us up at the airport to Jasmin checking us in/out and everyone in between clearly they were trained well. It doesn’t hurt that every Bahamian we have met is so friendly. We loved Jaelyn, Cadero, Daihna & Johnetta from the Drift pool bar and Nikki & Shakarila at Lusca and Lachea at Switcha. We had a stunning sunset cruise with Jen and she was great! Our captain was a young man and I wish I remembered his name (he went to Texas A&M so you know who you are😁) but he was great too and so fun to chat with. Ron & Margaret we’re wonderful too, very helpful and kind.
One of the standout moments of the trip for me was when we boarded our plane to head there and I realized I had left my swimsuits at home!! Who does that on a beach vacation?!! Especially to such a remote island! I had shorts and sport bras with me so I would just make the most of it. When we arrived, Jeff asked Jasmin if there was anywhere to buy a swimsuit and we already knew the answer would be no. Margaret overheard the conversation though and went back to her room and brought her swimsuit to me and said you’re welcome to borrow it if it fits! It fit!! She saved the day…. the trip! Talk about great customer service. She went above and beyond and I am so grateful for that.
We had some windy weather and some rain while we were there which of course happens, but those days can still be a different kind of fun and they really were! One of my favorite moments was when so many of us huddled together n the Drift bar undercover for the 30 minute huge downpour that occurred. So fun!
I recommend everyone visit this incredible resort. We’re hoping to get back someday soon! With my swimsuit. 😎

Thank you for mentioning the CMC team members who helped make your holiday memorable. And, yes, Sacano knows who you were talking about. ;) This type of positive feedback what makes it all worthwhile! It's wonderful to read how you and the other guests turned a rainy afternoon into a fun time at Driffs, too. That's a life lesson to encourage us all to make the most of life's little moments. We will look forward to welcoming you back - swimsuit and all!!

10/10 experience. My friends and I recently stayed 4 nights at Caerula Mar and had a fantastic time. The island is remote and somewhat challenging to get to, which worked in our favor. We were looking for a quiet, peaceful vacation and that's precisely what we got at Caerula Mar. We made frequent use of the resort's kayaks, paddleboards, and small sailboat, visited the spa, and booked a snorkel adventure. I highly recommend the snorkel excursion as you'll experience the Blue Holes native to the island. The staff was exceptional. One item to note is that there are no TVs in the rooms and the wifi is spotty, though that wasn't an issue for us, and my friends and I( appreciated being unplugged while we were there. My only notes for improvement: it would be nice to have one additional dinner menu option (there are 3 mains offered each night as well as a soup and appetizer). We would also have appreciated additional hooks in the bathrooms to hang towels and wet swimsuits, though that was a minor issue. We will definitely be back!

Hi M, Thank you for choosing Caerula Mar Club for your "Girls' Getaway"! It's wonderful to hear that you all made use of, and enjoyed so much of, what is available here at Caerula Mar. Quite often we hear from guests that they, too, enjoy the opportunity to unplug. But, we have the big screen TV in the Lounge - just in case. We also appreciate your constructive comments and will definitely look forward to welcoming you back!

This resort/club is not as upscale as Sarah Baeumler would have you believe.
On first look all looks pristine , but once I was in my room, I found all the doors both entrance and bathroom were poorly fitted and were sticking. Surprising since Bryan was such a handyman.
The room was serviced each day, but apart from making the bed and replacing a couple of towels, nothing else was done. No sweeping and the deck area looked as though it had not been swept for quite a while.
The bathroom floor which had nice tiling except for stains that were embedded into the surface and gave the appearance of dirt. I am sure these could be removed with some heavy duty cleaner.
The dinner menu which was pleasant but limited to 3 main courses to choose from would have been nice, however the vegetables and the lamb as well as my wifes dinner were closer to cold than hot. When this was pointed out to the server she merely said that she would tell the chef.
Upon check in I don't think the staff member was very professional with answering my questions.
Sadly dissapointed with my visit which I thought would have been closer to 4 stars rather than 2 stars. Attention to detail missing

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We regret to hear about the challenges you faced including the unavailability of the free upgrade you requested. Our maintenance team could not replicate the issues you encountered with the doors in your room but rest assured we did inspect to implement any needed repairs. We apologize for the dinner that wasn't served at the appropriate temperature and have used your feedback as a training opportunity for our servers. It served as a valuable lesson for our newer servers in training and was an excellent reminder for our more seasoned servers. We understand that each guest has unique preferences and expectations. While we strive to create an exceptional experience for everyone, we recognize that Caerula Mar Club may not be the perfect fit for all guests.

Great stay in what is an amazing and classy property. The staff were superb and the service was faultless.
The food was great - perhaps a little pricey (but The Bahamas is fairly expensive on the food front).
In addition to paid for excursions the property also offers a number of free activities - cycling, pickleball, kayaking, paddle boarding etc.
Overall an amazing and relaxing trip.

Literally in the middle of nowhere is a small beach that is carefully manicured daily with a quiet resort nestled behind it. This resort is owned by Canadians, run by visionaries, and beloved by the Bahamians of South Andros.
I am describing Caerula Mar (AKA "The Renovation Island" resort)
My wife, Chrissy, and I enjoyed our eight-day honeymoon at the resort. Never have we experienced such blissful views, generous people, and exciting adventures.
After our first night there, Chrissy and I went on a sailing adventure with our expert captain, Ron. This was the highlight of our trip, and it cost zero dollars. It is a complimentary activity during your stay, mainly because the staff enjoy it too.
Later on in our trip, we kayaked the mangroves and snorkelled the old naval yard. We commissioned a boat through the resort to take us deep sea fishing, where we caught black snapper and barracuda. Carlos, their Executive Chef, cooked it the same night.
The staff are the most memorable part of the island. You learn so much about the Bahamian way of life and connect with every member of their team. We're coming back again next year, just for them.
P.S. To address the Canadians in the room, yes - we met Bryan and Sarah. They are exactly as cool as you think they are. Carlos, Chuck, and Kara are awesome too. We hadn't seen season 3 yet, but we heard that they are all kind of a big deal.

This Resort is perfect for a relaxing getaway. The accomodations were very comfortable with wonderful oceanfront views. I didn't stay in an oceanfront property but had a wonderful ocean view with sunrise right out my window. Wonderful service and the resort Chef is second to none. Great Conch salad demonstration pool side as well as poolside cocktails and food and snacks. Out side of the resort there is little else to do. But the Blue Hole excursion and snorkling can keep you busy enough. Most beautiful beaches with no vendor peddling at all. None of the chaos you find on the beaches of Nassau or Cabo. This is primarily a Bonefish Meca however, my husband found amazing spearfishing as well. Really intricate system of coral reefs just a short boat ride out.
One pickleball court as well.
Important Note: No children under 11 allowed which restricts my extended family for the time being; but with this it was WAY more peaceful.

We were 2 couples travelling from Ontario Canada WOW! Just WOW! Unfortunately, nothing else will compare or measure up to our stay at Caruela Mar club. Husband before we arrive: “this is a once in a lifetime...” Husband after check in: “ so when we come back next year...” That says it all!
We felt spoiled from the moment we were picked up at the Congo Town Airport. We were greeted by a lovely young women, who gave us a cool scented towel and water. A short 5 minute drive to CM, where we were greeted by Margaret and Ron, the GM’s. Such personal service and attention to detail, is like nothing we have ever experienced before. Sarah, Brian, Margaret, Ron and their team have created a hidden jewel. The resort is stunning. We loved the quiet intimacy. We honestly felt like we were at a private resort. Chef Sebastian, the food, your team, unbelievable! We were entertained by Sam at Lucas. She even brought some local beer for our husbands to try! Cardero and Sheniqua(sp?) at Driffs, kept us fed and entertained every day! Our husbands spent most days fishing off the beach. We took a bike ride to the Blue Holes and to a Local bar, Mudda Sic, where we ironically met the Captain of the boat we were going on for a sunset cruise! The cruise was fantastic, Jen and Davide do a wonderful personal job with all the guests. Yoga on the beach at 7am was amazing!
We are already planning our vacation for 2022.. Caruela Mar Club, thank you so very much!

Thank you for sharing your experiences at Caerula Mar Club and in South Andros. It's fun when guests run into enterprising Caerula Mar staff members who operate other businesses in South Andros. Biking around and popping into some of the small local businesses is a great way to get an inside peek into family island living. Hurry back!

My husband and I have been traveling the world for over 45 years. We had the opportunity to take quick trip (5 days) to the Bahamas over the Christmas holiday. I researched carefully as we always try to find quiet, first class accommodation. We wanted scuba diving (on site) and other water sports on the list of activities. Caerula Mar fit this bill perfectly. South Andros is remote and the resort is small but superbly equipped and beautifully decorated in a modern/curated/comfortable vibe. The managers Ron and Margaret are beyond welcoming and helpful as are the dive/activities team, Manny, Shannon and Burton. As we are "foodies', the restaurants (main restaurant, beach bar, coffee shop) are all excellent. The 2 main chefs, Janet and Carlos are talented. They created some of the best dinners we have had in a long time, always extra fresh, beautifully prepared and presented. If you are looking for a quiet get away to a place that provides simple luxury and a spectacular Caribbean blue view, this is your place. Many thanks to all the team at Caerula Mar. We will be back!

Staff was very accommodating, patient and welcoming. Will consider booking again.
I do highly encourage anyone considering a trip to San Andros Island to look at flights to get to the island as smaller planes only depart/arrive on certain days and there is not a reliable ferry service.

Yes, Lusca is our fine dining option for dinner. Please see our website for sample menus. Our chefs curate a unique dinner menu daily featuring the freshest produce and local catches from the sea. This three-course menu includes two starter options, three mains, and a selection of desserts. Bon Appetit!
Upon arrival at the resort you are greeted with a glass of fruit punch of some sort. I ordered a romance package which included a bottle of champagne/chocolates/nibbles sent to the villa on the day I chose. Although this was an added cost it did set the tone and to me it was priceless. The mini bar is chargeable and refilled daily. The minibar is also your fridge.
Yes, we do offer Laundry Service. The laundry bags and price sheets are located in the wardrobe of each guest room or villa. Our current rate is $25 for a small load. Ironing is extra. Please note that we are not equipped for delicate, hand wash only or dry clean only fabrics.
Please check our website. There is a button that looks like a calendar on every page that says "reserve your stay". That will take you to the online booking option. We hope to see you soon!
