Been here in mid September and we coudnt have wished for a better location. The hotel is close to Agii Saranta beach which we just loved and the lady in charge (so sorry that we forgot your name) was wonderful. She catered to our every need, very pleasant personality and very helpful in recommandations. Our stay was so good because of her involvement and dedication and for this we thank you. Definety recommand and we will surely return
Astromeria is located in a small village, but big enough to have 3 Grocery shops and you can reach them on foot and 2 restaurants. We also ate in one of them and the food was very good. The rooms are very spacious and well decorated, beds comfortable. There is a car park in front and also behind the hotel in case you choose the upper floor rooms. Note that this is all mountainous region and I calculated that there is over 120 steps to reach the highest located rooms, but you get the great view thanks to that. So I do recommend in case you have no problem with the condition. The pool is not that big, but still enough and what we liked most - most of the time empty. Breakfast was nice as well. What we liked the most is great and very welcoming personnel. Out of the entire trip this year Costas was by far the best. He explained to us everything, he shared with us what is worth to be seen in the region and was keen to talk with us every day/ This is what makes a difference :).…
The staff was very welcome, the apartment nice but with some deficiencies eg there weren't a hairdrier, blankets or a clean and full-equipped kitchen.I have never seen in my life before a cooker machine without a cooker range hood installed!!! That 's why the one that existed was sooooo dirty!!! You can find some snacks either from the hotel or from the nearby bakery or mini markets BUT if you have small children becarefull of the wavy sea! The waves in Choreuto and Agioi Saranta reach the 1,46 cm that's why my little girl who is 8 years old covered by sea waves and almost got drown. We couldn't get into the sea all the 5 days we were there. Luckily Astromeria has a swimming pool small but clean, mainly for young children and not enough for adults. There aren't any interesting things to do for families. This place in probably for couples.…
10 of us stayed for a wk with 4 apartments sharing a large central area. The hotel seems to be the only one in the village & has a great relaxed family atmosphere with great pool & bar. We self catered & there was a bit of searching for plates, utensils, etc but overall we were very pleased & it was great value for money. My only wish was for air conditioning to help us sleep at night. No hot water, which we got used to as it was so hot, but could be a problem in the spring / autumn. There's very little else in the village apart from a bakery opposite & a few small supermarkets & a chemist. The nearest cash point is in Zagora 20 mins away. Lovely beaches nearby. Our favourite is Doumachari where they filmed Mama Mia.
we got a very comfortable apartment - 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms. the best breakfast we had in all Greece (rich and diverse) -vegetable and fruits from the garden. . the swimming pool was great. location - 10 minutes (with car) from ugli saranta - an amazing beach for kids to swim). the place is clean. a very goof value for money. the wifi is available in the loby.
The Ideal place for couples, cosy atmospere. After a warm welcome and having settled quickly, we enjoyed a coffee in the balcony of our room. The hotel's facilities are located a green hillside, and this together with the professional service of the staff made our stay more memorable and idyllic. thank you Astromeria!
Great place to stay. Make you feel at home, and is very clean. The owner spoke English well. The beach close by (7 min drive) is great, in fact I have some of my favorite meals in Greece there. We have the Quadruple Room and it was very roomy with four people. Washroom was good. Breakfast was great, and they made it for when we needed. For example we had to leave early on the last day and they asked us if they could make us breakfast earlier so we did not go away hungry. I was asking about locally made wine and they said they did not have any wine but did have some other homemade alcohol, and gladly handed me a bottle. Needless to say, a very kind family is running this Hotel. I really recommend the beach called Milopotamos (25 min drive). Hands down the nicest. The only thing you have to keep in mind is the drive from Volos is very time consuming. You must have a car in good shape and a driver that will not get car sick. What makes this a great place to stay is that you can get food just down the street. If you stay right on the water you will have to drive every time you need something. The pool was not working when we there. If you have never been to the Pelion Peninsula, this is a great place to start.…
