Since 1995, our family has been running the first Mountain Bike Hotel in Slovenia. The old hotel (Club Krnes) was situated in the middle of a small town. For the last few years we have been dreaming of a location with good views, somewhere in the countryside. Now, the dreams came true and the new location we found is at the beautiful tourist farm called Koroš. It is situated in Jamnica at the edge of the Karavanke mountain range. We do not have what the "big" ones have, but we can offer a nice stay for 20 guests in double- or twin rooms. In our opinion other hotels are distinguished by the number of stars in their name and their atmosphere of boredom. Therefore we decided to establish a club type hotel which specialises in programmes for mountain bike and mountain adventures. Our hotel provides a base for the activities which take place in the surrounding woods and mountains.Guided tours, thematic trips, art and presentations, as well as games and amusement represent the part of our life to be enjoyed by the participants on active holiday.Taking part in the offered activities is not a must, especially since the surroundings of Koroš offer countless possibilities for one's own choice.

We were visiting the hotel for a long weekend. We heard positive things about the location and surrounfing trails but were very much positively surprise when we got there. The owners welcome us and showed us around the propperty. There is everything a mountain biker could ask for: a garage to safely store your bike, a bike wash, a workshop with parts for quick repairs. We had a beautiful renovated room with a big terrace and a view over mount Peca. The propperty is also nice and located on a hill with a nice view over the sorroundings. It is a family business and they are all super friendly and always smiling. Anej is a great mtb guide who lives and breaths with the sorrunding trails. He knows the woods by heart and I can strongly recommend booking a tour with him. He will show you hidden gems in the sorrounding forrests including the Black Hole trail which is the only undergorund enduro trail. We had a great stay and will definitely come back again.

I have stayed at EcoHotel Koroš several times and have always enyojed every moment of it. With loads of fresh, mountain air, amazing views of mountains while being surrounded by forrest and grass fields, you forget about modern day city life and everyday hustle. Hotel is simple and super cosy, with rooms that are clean and comfortable. Family that manages and ownes this hotel is very friendly and will make you feel just like at home, especially so when they serve you a healthy, home cooked dinner, prepared by locally sourced ingredients. It’s a lovely three star hotel with a billion star view at night!
Of course I need to mention bike trails and all I can say is they are superb, well maintained and best of all - there are lots and lots of them :)
Will be coming back for sure!

I stayed four nights in August with a biking buddy and we were very impressed with the EcoHotel. It is a family run business and everybody pitches in. Delicious home grown organic food for breakfast and dinner, a nice big front porch to watch the sunset and enjoy a beverage from the "honesty bar" and challenging mountain bike trails all around the property. Some of the trails are right on site, others are a shuttle ride away, and the guides and owners cans easily provide the advice and transportation needed. It was a fantastic stay and one that I will remember for a long time. We learned a lot about Slovenian culture and the language from our guide Matej. He was a great rider and fun to be around, even for hours at a time! haha There is an apple orchard on the property as well, so if you like fresh apples, its all you can eat. Also, for a 300 year old farm, the wifi was solid! There are a lot of gravel roads that you need to follow to get to the hotel, but there are wooden signs at each intersection to help you find the way.

We stayed for 3 Nights and it is not what we expected. The price for a double room ist 110 Euros per night. That is a lot of money. The rooms a pretty small and the bathroom was very very tiny and really old. Like out of the 50s? I do not know. Everything is quite old and has this kind of smell. We also had no Water for almost 1 day. So no showering was possible. There were a lot more things what were not so nice but ok. The area is nice and the people were nice in the beginning. At the end as we marked out the problems, there were kind of pissed. We booked it because of the good reviews but we were kind of disappointed. I wouldn´t recommend staying there. It is ok but not worth it. You dont miss out something. Or just stay anywhere else. For slovenia it is quite pricey for what you get.

i stayed a few nights at the eco hotel after reading the reviews. i didn't need a guide with bike nomads as i've travelled the world mountain biking and feel comfortable on my own. the 2 positive things about hotel koros is that the breakfast was decent and my room was clean/comfortable. i had booked a dinner the first night as well. it seemed a little on the expensive side for slovenia but the website billed local/fresh food right from the farm. i went down to dinner and seated myself at one of the tables excited to meet some other bikers and exchange some beta on trails. i was told by the son of the hotel owner to move to another smaller table as the table i was seated at was reserved for the guided groups. i sat at another table with someone who was obviously not in a guided group as well but we didn't speak any common languages so we both ate our dinner in silence. the soup was boiled ramen with some chive for flavoring, meat that was some of the toughest i had ever been served and a dessert that looked like it had just been purchased from the nearest grocery store. it wasn't the 'locally grown, fresh off the farm' food that was described on their website. i'm not picky about food and will eat just about anything but this was the worst meal i had by far in slovenia. i also didn't see any separate trash receptables either in my room or any common areas for recycling. i was also scolded when i checked out that i hadn't brought my passport to lodge owners my stay to be recorded. why not collect the passport when they give out the room key? it is the lodge owners responsibility to make sure they get this information at check in. trying to make me feel guilty at check out just added insult to injury for an unpleasant stay. it seems like all of the glowing reviews are from people who booked a guided tour. there are a ton of turisticna's on the same road that hotel koros is on. i would check with the tourist info center in prevalje and see who has an open room. the prices and food quality will almost certainly be better. if you want to support thejamnica trail maintenance, buy a beer at hotel koros after a ride but i don't recommend staying there. prevalje also several apartments, guest houses, several cafes, a grocery store and a great little bakery for more options and it's not that far away from the jamnica trails.

This was a great place to stay - think ski chalet type accommodation rather than luxury. Food and the family who own it were brilliant, and the bikes were locked away at night safely. It was a lovely atmosphere. We had a fabulous weeks guided riding booked through Cycle active in the UK, which I would highly recommended. Dixi and our guides Kaya and Jarni were superb, and the whole stay was very sociable with other cyclists coming and going.

Our highlighted stay was the two nights we stayed with Anej's family! The food was amazing and I am still talking about the nettle soup, relish, crepes, breakfast and even a birthday cake! My husband enjoyed his biking as well in which they have a great fleet of Specialized bikes to pick from. Husband brought his own pedals, clothing and water bottle and Anej set him up with a great bike and helmet. There are days worth of hiking and biking just from the farm and new trails at a ski hill close by which you can see from the farm. We loved the peace and quiet, farm life and the amazing hospital family. We wish them luck in a busy season and hope one day come back for a longer stay.

Dixi and crew we very accommodating and generous, preparing meals around dietary restrictions and helping prepare for adventures. Our stay was cut short, as the weather was not cooperative in our efforts to play outside, but we will be back with an even bigger group. We were only shown a tiny glimpse of what their trail network consists of and are itching to fully explore it's entirety.

The Ecohotel is situated in beautiful farmland with fantastic mountain bike singletrack right outside the door. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and simple. They have a full parktool tool kit for mountain bike repairs and the "hay cinema" was a highlight. They have mountain bikes for rental. Sit back and enjoy a beer watching the sun go down over the mountains.
