Since 1995, our family has been running the first Mountain Bike Hotel in Slovenia. The old hotel (Club Krnes) was situated in the middle of a small town. For the last few years we have been dreaming of a location with good views, somewhere in the countryside. Now, the dreams came true and the new location we found is at the beautiful tourist farm called Koroš. It is situated in Jamnica at the edge of the Karavanke mountain range. We do not have what the "big" ones have, but we can offer a nice stay for 20 guests in double- or twin rooms. In our opinion other hotels are distinguished by the number of stars in their name and their atmosphere of boredom. Therefore we decided to establish a club type hotel which specialises in programmes for mountain bike and mountain adventures. Our hotel provides a base for the activities which take place in the surrounding woods and mountains.Guided tours, thematic trips, art and presentations, as well as games and amusement represent the part of our life to be enjoyed by the participants on active holiday.Taking part in the offered activities is not a must, especially since the surroundings of Koroš offer countless possibilities for one's own choice.

I have stayed at EcoHotel Koroš several times and have always enyojed every moment of it. With loads of fresh, mountain air, amazing views of mountains while being surrounded by forrest and grass fields, you forget about modern day city life and everyday hustle. Hotel is simple and super cosy, with rooms that are clean and comfortable. Family that manages and ownes this hotel is very friendly and will make you feel just like at home, especially so when they serve you a healthy, home cooked dinner, prepared by locally sourced ingredients. It’s a lovely three star hotel with a billion star view at night! Of course I need to mention bike trails and all I can say is they are superb, well maintained and best of all - there are lots and lots of them :) Will be coming back for sure!

We stayed for 3 Nights and it is not what we expected. The price for a double room ist 110 Euros per night. That is a lot of money. The rooms a pretty small and the bathroom was very very tiny and really old. Like out of the 50s? I do not know. Everything is quite old and has this kind of smell. We also had no Water for almost 1 day. So no showering was possible. There were a lot more things what were not so nice but ok. The area is nice and the people were nice in the beginning. At the end as we marked out the problems, there were kind of pissed. We booked it because of the good reviews but we were kind of disappointed. I wouldn´t recommend staying there. It is ok but not worth it. You dont miss out something. Or just stay anywhere else. For slovenia it is quite pricey for what you get.

i stayed a few nights at the eco hotel after reading the reviews. i didn't need a guide with bike nomads as i've travelled the world mountain biking and feel comfortable on my own. the 2 positive things about hotel koros is that the breakfast was decent and my room was clean/comfortable. i had booked a dinner the first night as well. it seemed a little on the expensive side for slovenia but the website billed local/fresh food right from the farm. i went down to dinner and seated myself at one of the tables excited to meet some other bikers and exchange some beta on trails. i was told by the son of the hotel owner to move to another smaller table as the table i was seated at was reserved for the guided groups. i sat at another table with someone who was obviously not in a guided group as well but we didn't speak any common languages so we both ate our dinner in silence. the soup was boiled ramen with some chive for flavoring, meat that was some of the toughest i had ever been served and a dessert that looked like it had just been purchased from the nearest grocery store. it wasn't the 'locally grown, fresh off the farm' food that was described on their website. i'm not picky about food and will eat just about anything but this was the worst meal i had by far in slovenia. i also didn't see any separate trash receptables either in my room or any common areas for recycling. i was also scolded when i checked out that i hadn't brought my passport to lodge owners my stay to be recorded. why not collect the passport when they give out the room key? it is the lodge owners responsibility to make sure they get this information at check in. trying to make me feel guilty at check out just added insult to injury for an unpleasant stay. it seems like all of the glowing reviews are from people who booked a guided tour. there are a ton of turisticna's on the same road that hotel koros is on. i would check with the tourist info center in prevalje and see who has an open room. the prices and food quality will almost certainly be better. if you want to support thejamnica trail maintenance, buy a beer at hotel koros after a ride but i don't recommend staying there. prevalje also several apartments, guest houses, several cafes, a grocery store and a great little bakery for more options and it's not that far away from the jamnica trails.

We visited Dixi and Anej for 6 days of amazing Mountainbike riding. We had everything from sunny days with 20C, hours of rain to 5-10 cm of snow, still Anej and Dixi managed to guide us to perfect trails everyday. Anej is a very skilled guide and good fun too 😀. The trails in the area are very diverse. Mostly very natural, which is good and so fun. Everything from easy blue to double black diamont. Gravel roads to EWS stages. From 10 km of flow to underground Enduro. Everyone will find something just right. I personally have never had more fun on a bike than riding E2 at full speed, bouncing on rocks and roots, cheering all the way down 🙌😀 I cannot wait to get back 🤟

We stayed with these guys in august 2018 and were made to feel welcome the moment we arrived. Nothing was too much to ask. On our week long biking trip there were several mechanical failures that were dealt with quickly either by calling for help or fixing themselves in their beautiful mountain top home. The location is stunning. It’s a beautiful farmhouse with several out buildings. The area is fantastic for mountain biking. Anej and his friends know exactly how and where to take you out biking in the mountains as they check your riding ability out on the first day. The local area has very well priced food and drink. Not far away is “Petzen”. Slovenia’s premium mountain biking resort. This place has the longest downhill in Europe apparently. It certainly felt that way as it takes 25 to 30 minutes to get down it even when you are not not hanging around! Overall we had a fantastic trip in stunning surroundings and stayed with a beautiful family who know how to cook and above all look after people. I couldn’t recommend them enough!!!
