For less than £60 this is a good place to stay - it's no frills. It has free parking and wifi, serves good pub food and the room we had was ample for our purpose. The room itself was very basic but for one night it was fine. It had tea and coffee making facilities and it was clear that... More

GOOD Points - cheap, tea/coffee making, free parking, wifi ( we were given the wrong code but found the right one left in a drawer by a prevous customer :) ), pleasant staff who were very obliging, fabulous windmill directly across the road, easy access to lots of places Bad Points - dogs barking for an hour in nearby garden... dropped by here today for lunch, made very welcome as soon as we walked in and was shown to a nice table in the window. Lamb Shank was on the specials menu, was superb, all vegetables were cooked beautifully and was very tasty, my wife chose a PRAWN salad, was a fair sized portion, and very fresh, will certainly be... We went in here as had such a poor experience at the white hart in Stradbroke and was welcomed straight away - good choice of beer - great price, good food and sexy John the landlord was very helpful! Dartboard and pool table was great and really made our weekend unforgettable! High five to the horseshoes at billingford!

Great pub, really welcomed from the second we walked in. The pub has free darts and pool with a great selection of drinks. John the landlord was great and couldn't do enough to ensure our service was great. Food was lovely with a really great selection of desserts. Definitely recommend this pub!!

A good start because it was easy to find - however, after a 7 hour drive I wasn't made to feel particularly welcome which was disappointing. To be fair, the owner was behind the bar talking to two customers, although I was ignored for a while as I stood there with my luggage. Eventually however I was shown to room... More

Very pleasant. Arrived in time for evening meal which was very nice and pleasantly served in a comfy pub dining area. I found the staff very accommodating. The room was upstairs and nicely tucked away which ensured a good night's sleep. I found NO hairs of any description!! It may have been basic but very clean and ideal for my... More

First the room, bedding very creased and animal hairs present on the duvet! Shower area, no where to hang a damp bath towel, had to clean dirt from top of shower cubicle so I could hang towel there; no "toilet duck" to keep toilet fresh and clean after use; paper thin walls, noise from neighbours was very annoying; grubby tie... My hubby & I stayed at the Horseshoes overnight, the patron was very helpful as were all the staff we met. Food, typical 'pub grub' reasonably priced. The room was clean and comfortable, breakfast included, it was very nice.
