Two things this hotel could do better, but I'll get to those later. I have been in the F&B industry since I was washing dishes at our local carvery aged 14 until I ran my own 16th century coaching inn 15 years ago. So I have seen the good, the bad and the downright shocking. This hotel easily fits into...

Hotel very nice. Paid extra for deluxe room which was lovely. Hotel takes dogs so we took our golden retriever with us. Staff were really good giving us excellent service and lots of fuss for the dog. Food excellent in restaurant . Only issue was second day at breakfast where problems occurred with wrong food being delivered, then it arrived...

Booked two nights as a treat for my birthday. Loved the look of the hotel online so was just hoping it lived up to our expectations. It certainly did! Our room was huge and had beautiful views over the front of the house and gardens. The bathroom had a power shower and roll top Bath too. There was a real...

They took advantage of the fact that we were getting married and charged us all a minimum of £6 a pint and £18 for a whisky!!! Could not believe my eyes. Other than that the place was about average. Nothing special. Could benefit with British staff.

my partner and I visited this hotel a few days ago to celebrate my Birthday. We traveled from Wales and the Hotel was pretty easy to find (with use of the satnav of course!), situated among pretty gardens and grounds. The initial reason for choosing this hotel was because it was dog friendly. Upon arrival we were complimentary upgraded to...

Used spa with my daughter and friends. All enjoyed our treatments with Andrea. Food excellent apart from a couple of dishes being a bit cold and disjointed with spa treatments. That said, staff worked very hard to pull things back with a free drink and a welcome discount.

Enjoyed a wonderful relaxing day here. The spa facilities were clean and well equipped. Our group of 7 hens each had a mini therapy session with Andrea, she was welcoming from the start and extremely helpful. She did all the facials, massages, and pedicures and everyone was delighted with the result. The experience was booked as a package to include...

We stayed here for 2 nights with our two young children and took a suite. Firstly - the place from the outside looked just as I was hoping - lovely grounds, beautiful old building and the spa extension had a wonderful feel. We didn't have any treatments because we didn't book in advance - you are warned you need to...

Pleasant surroundings, staff - not very attentive, receptionists - too busy chatting to greet guests! Classic afternoon tea a joke, two finger sized "sandwiches" (one cucumber on white and second indistinguishable on brown, crust removed, of course!) didn't amount to one slice of bread in total... plus less than half a wrap containing what was possibly a sliver of salmon...

The bed was so big and comfy we didn't want to leave. It really is the perfect place to get some rest and relaxation. The pace is slow and feels like being home (in a good way). The staff are happy to accommodate requests and the food at the restaurant is spectacular. They even created a vegetarian tasting menu for...
