With picturesque views of the mawdach trail and the estuary from the decking outside the yurt we stayed in. Filled with everything you'd ever need to have a real glamping experience, wood burning stove, sheep skin rugs, animals grazing all around, the owners dogs and cat are friendly and always roaming around! Would highly recommend the small yurt to anyone... More

Very clean and homely B&B! All the extra bits like access to the lounge when hosts aren't using it, excellent breakfast, books to read, honesty bar, toiletries in the room all make for a comfortable and relaxed stay. John & Sarah are excellent hosts and the location is great for hiking, biking, easy access to nearby villages like Dolgellau and... More

An absolutely terrific campsite. The panoramic pitches are genuinely that, with an outstanding view out over the estuary! There are so many nice touches. The honesty shop, the extremely well stocked camp store, the BBQ's and bikes for hire, the communal camp fire area, clean facilities and nice people. Brilliant. I'll be back!

We are the 'oldies' (mid-late 70s) who stayed for 3 nights in a ground floor accessible room at the Slate Shed whilst the family were in their caravan on the Graig Wen site. We were able to park directly outside the front door of the SS with the door to our room (which had a huge walk-in shower) just off... More

Sometimes certain places just feel right. The Slate Shed is one such place. Peaceful, chilled, welcoming, well organised. Stylish room and very comfortable. Very reasonable prices for the stay and the well stocked help yourself bar. A few mins down through the fields is the wonderful wonderful cycle/walking track - left to Barmouth and right to Dollgellau. The loveliest, loveliest... More

This is a really classy but relaxed modern place, very intelligent in its attention to detail and servicing a wide range of types of guest from rough-it campers in the field below, to families in self-catering, to those looking for a bit of Welsh luxury in the main house itself. The breakfasts are great and full of choice; the honesty... More

Fantastic location! Great place to sit and enjoy the views...and links into the estuary trail. The room was quiet, despite being near the road; and the twin beds worked exceptionally well as a double. We stayed in 'Sidan'...which was described as small...and lacks storage; but good enough for a two night stay! Staff were friendly and took the time to... More

Thanks for your review - we're glad you enjoyed your stay here and felt welcomed. We are licenced premises and provide a well stocked honesty bar featuring Welsh craft beers and lagers, a small but interesting wine list, Penderyn whisky and award-winning British fizz. We feel these are reasonably priced and guests are welcome to enjoy a drink on the... More

Thanks! We're glad you appreciated our selection of Welsh craft beers and lagers etc in the honesty bar. Researching new local beer suppliers is a tough job but someone's got to do it! More

We visited Graig Wen and stayed in the Caban for our wedding anniversary. We arrived to champagne in the Caban (a little extra). The location is breathtaking, every night we watched stunning sunsets over the estuary after a little bike ride to the pub. It's also a short ride to the lovely seaside town of Barmouth with rolling golden sands.... More

Two rooms, Bran and Miri Mawr, have stunning estuary views and all our guests can enjoy the breathtaking scenery from our communal Caban room and day lounge.
