Recently stayed here for 2 months, the room had black mould in the shower walls, constantly spraying for mosquitoes everyday and night even though doors closed, pigeons nesting on a ledge outside my room and cats everywhere never again
This is not a resort but a condominium and a good place for families. Good parking, for mostlyThai people who can park their car near the room. We stayed in a suite near the pool that can accommodate 4 persons. The staff of this place is friendly en helpful. The location is a bit isolated and at he end of a lane that is not well lit in the evenings. If you want to go to the busstation (near policestation) it is a 15 minute walk. Taxi from this place to the shoppingcenter in Hua Hin is 200 bath one way. The local bus from the policestation (starting point) to the shoppingcenter is 10 bath, one way. The nearest beach of Kho Tabiak is about 10 minutes walk. Beach with a few small restaurants is ok, and you can walk a long way south on the sandy beach. Grounds: Large pool, but without sunbeds or decent chairs. Only the rooms on the groundfloor have wooden uncomfortable chairs. Difficult to get in en out the pool, because there are no railings to grap and to hold on. The building has no elevator. There is a golfcar that give you free transport to beach and nearest shops, but during our 14 days stay it was out of order during 12 days. Security quard on duty at night. The bar near the pool is not in use and is dirty and not looked after. Free use of bicycles. Rooms/Bathroom: There are several type of rooms/suites. Some suites have wooden floors and some have stone floors. The suite is 98 square metre and has a lounge with double bed and one bedroom. No closed cupboards to store your clothes and other small items. Only a open place near the bathroom/shower, were you can hang your clothes. In the lounge you find a small kitchen-unit without a stove but with microwave, and waterkettle, 4 plates, 4 forks, 4 spoons, no knives. 4 teacups and 4 glasses. If you want to use this kitchen-unit don't forget to bring your own knives, disclothes, etc. for cleaning the rooms, use of water and electricity and breakfast you have to pay extra. Bring your own toiletpaper, toiletbrush, shampoo, soap, liquid soap for the dishes and cleaning-material to clean the room and bathroom, when you want to clean it all by yourself. The airconditioning-unit who is located outside near the bedroom is noisy. Safe near the bathroom. There is only one small mirror. Bathroom with seperate toilet. Beds are a bit firm. Price is ok, but if you are young stay somewhere else.…
This is not a hotel, it's more of like a condo where there are tenants staying for long term. Area is very remote, taxi couldn't even find it. Renovations going on so place is dirty with construction materials and noisy. Rooms are designed in a weird way? Two showers in the bathroom with like a bench in the middle. The walls are made of glass sliding doors which kinda felt unsafe esp because there are a lot of people working around. We ended up looking for another hotel near the city center and checked out right away. Didn't even bother to refund! The beach near to it (Khao Takiab) is not impressive at all. It's very dirty! Just stay in hua hin beach side instead. Stay here only if you want to be isolated from people!!! Never coming back for sure!
Good price, excellent pool. Staff friendly. Place is near beach and no disturbance of traffic or others. We was there 2 weeks and enjoy place. Mos recommend for family and couples. For solo travelers might be too quiet. Pool side is amazing 80 meters and clean. We enjoy that so not needed to go beach.
The Franjipani Resort is south of Hua Hin proper, about 5 to 10 minutes by car towards Kao Takiab. It is walking distance to Takiab beach which is the longest beach in Hua Hin. There are many restaurants and convenience stores nearby. We did not have breakfast with our booking but did have breakfast, at a reasonable cost, from the on-site restaurant. The breakfast was well prepared (bacon and eggs, coffee, toast etc), and reasonably priced. The resort has the longest pool I’ve seen in Hua Hin, and is very clean. The rooms are contained in several buildings running alongside the pool. The rooms either face the back of the building (car park), with a small outside area (which we did not use), or face the pool. The rooms facing the pool have direct access to the pool as there is a terrace area for those on the ground floor directly to the pool. The resort is clean, with a nice garden of local trees. The rooms are rather quirky—modern and comfortable. The bed is large, and the floors are polished concrete. The rooms have a beach-side feel to them. Our friends room had the bed in the middle of the room. The bathrooms have an unusual design, with the showers being open to the room, with a separate toilet (with a door). The staff are friendly and helpful, with enough English to get by. The main reason we stayed here (there were 4 of us) was that the price was very good, the location was convenient (we had a car), the pool looked fabulous (and was), and the rooms were of a good standard for the price (value for money).…
The room quite small and the bed wasn't good. My boyfriend woke up in the midnight but the bed was terrible and made me woke up too. The pool was great I thought the pool was the best thing in this hotel. Breakfast was average in taste. I think the price was a bit high for the hotel facilities. Location was hard to find.
We booked the cheapest room and were quite pleased with it, quite stylish however it did not have a balcony or terrace but a patio door that opened onto a small area that was only any good for drying washing or keeping trainers etc. but the room itself and the bathroom/dressing area was great and spotless. These are advertised as apartments which in this room was a bit of a stretch, a kettle and a couple of plates and a knife and a fork do not constitute an apartment but we did have an enormous fridge freezer?!? anyway we were happy with it regardless. The pool area is lovely, clean and well maintained although there was some maintenance work being carried out whilst we were there which we were not informed about. Also, one thing that did annoy us a bit was there were no sun beds, they did have lovely seating areas along the pool but nothing that you could actually sunbathe on. We found a couple of plastic chairs that were okay but if you wanted to stretch out there was nothing, no hammocks as advertised either. We did have daily cleaning and fresh towels and towels for the pool and free bikes that were fine. We had an issue with breakfast, we booked with Expedia who advertised breakfast was included, but it was not included so make sure you confirm either way. Staff were nice and friendly and dealt with any complaint professionally. The area is okay, quite out of Hua Hin but with plenty of choice for eating but it is mainly residential with ex pat's and an older clientele. The beach is a 5/10 minute walk away with some restaurants.…
A really nice accommodation with a relaxing atmosphere. Not strictly a hotel though (no room service or daily cleaning), most guests seem to stay for longer periods of time (several weeks). The apartment was modern, clean and nice. Basic tableware and a fridge were very useful for drinks, snacks etc. A wonderful, long pool surrounded by a beautiful garden with sun chairs and hammocks were perfect. The location is a little bit remote from Hua Hin, but it's easily reached by tuktuk (about 200 bht) in 5-10 minutes and the staff at the reception were always happy to call for transportation. Other than that, the location was actually really nice as the surroundings are quiet, the beach is about 5 minutes away on foot and there are also two small supermarkets within walking distance. In addition, cold drinks and snacks are sold at the reception. Franjipani has a restaurant that we didn't try though, in addition there are some restaurants close by and bigger hotels with restaurants by the sea that are within a walking distance. The staff was very helpful and spoke adequate English. When we had a problem with a taxi (not booked through Franjipani) that didn't show up as expected, they went beyond themselves in the middle of the night to help us out (and succeeded!). They also made sure that the taxi they were finally able to find (the driver of which they didn't know from before) was safe and that we weren't being ripped off, which was so thoughtful and very much appreciated. All in all, would be happy to return to Franjipani again!…
We were not planning a stay in Hua Hin so for last minute booking I think the place was decent and price reasonable. Its 5 km or so out of Hua Hin which is only a good thing. No room service in hotel. Hot water not hot. Rather lukewarm.
My husband and I spent three months (july-aug-sept) here, so I think we quite know this resort, its pros and cons, etc. It's located near Khao Takiab, 3mins walk from its beach and 15mins of song-thaew (the green, cheap taxi) from the centre of Hua Hin, so if you're looking for quiet and don't mind taking a ride to reach the town, this is the place for you. You'll be given free bikes, too. The 80-mtrs swimming pool is really outstanding: we enjoyed it in any moment of the day. Large enough to welcome numerous guests, very clean, beautifully surrounded by the scented franjipani trees, it can be considered the signature of this resort. The staff is always ready to help, and is really kind: they've been very dear to us. The rooms of this resort are furnished with taste and almost design-pieces; the kitchenettes are basic, but we easily managed to prepare our meals at home when we didn't want to go out. There are some eateries on the near beach, as well as a Family Mart open 24-7, that can anyway come in handy. When back to HH, we'll definitely stay again at the Franjipani!…
