We had a blissful week at Hank's and Cindy's. We couldn't have wished for nicer hosts (not to mention their gorgeous dogs). From start to finish, we were made to feel like it was our home: the place was charming, the surroundings absolutely stunning and they managed the perfect balance of being present and helpful whilst giving us the privacy we needed as we were working remotely. It was clear to see what a labour of love the place has been. It was the most idyllic week. We'll be back!

We stayed for a week at the 2 bedroom Gite from Petit Clos. The house is authentically and tastefully decorated and is equipped with everything you need. From oven to dishwasher and beautiful bathrooms with rain showers. Beds were really comfortable and we had the saltwater pool the entire week for ourselves. We had the best bbq sessions, overlooking the vineyard of Henk and Cindy. We will miss this place, and the sweet dogs Beau and Django as well. We would recommend this place to friends without a doubt. Thanks Cindy and Henk! Best wishes, Liza, Jan, Lex & Lara

Thank you so much for you kind review. It means the world to us and our business, but most importantly, it really makes us happy to know that people love and enjoy staying at Petit Clos as much as we do. You were also instrumental in introducing us to a great local mountain bike rental company so you and future guests could enjoy cycling in the beautiful country roads. Again, huge thanks for choosing to stay here and we really hope that you will return. Kind regards, Cindy, Hank, Django and Beau

I can’t recommend this little gem enough, Cynthia the hostess goes above and beyond, nothing was too much trouble for her, we felt like we were visiting an old friend, and I was actually sad to leave. All the bedrooms are beautiful and furnished in a very chic French style, with every amenity catered for, in such a peaceful setting you can’t help but relax. If there are a few of you travelling, consider booking the gîte, it is amazing!! Kiss the dogs for me when you go- we miss them both already and give Cynthia a hug from me- I Highly recommend you stay here if it’s on your route through the Dordogne you won’t be sorry.

Big hug back to you Sam and thank you so much for writing such a kind and thoughtful review, especially knowing busy you are. When things slow down, I hope you'll return and stay awhile as the feeling of being with an old friend is mutual and I cannot wait to see you again.

We stayed for 3 nights in May in the gite at Petit Clos while attending a reunion with some old school friends. The gite had been lovingly renovated, retaining the high ceilings, open to the rafters, while benefiting from huge walk-in showers in each of the bedrooms. However, the most striking thing about the Petit Clos was the warmth and care that Hank and Cindy brought to every aspect of our stay. This included e-mailing us with a Google map showing the route from Bergerac airport; Cindy at the door on our first morning with croissant fresh from the boulangerie; Hank making a fire for us in the wood-burning stove in the sitting room. What advice do we have for other travellers? First, we can recommend dinner in one of Cindy’s favourite restaurants, La Terrasse in Duras. Secondly, Buggs Cars provide hire cars at a reasonable price with a straightforward contract and a level of service that puts their larger competitors to shame. But, above all, definitely stay at Petit Clos. We shall do so again. The only change we would make would be to wait until June when the weather is warmer.

Hank & Cindy were really nice. We rented a car and arrived late, restaurants were closed and only the market was open. Hank was nice enough to go with us to the store to make sure we did not get lost. Cindy is very charming and made us feel very welcome, My wife broke one of the kitchen knives and Cindy made like it was no big deal, very nice. Really, it was my wife who broke it, not me. She wont see this review anyway. The room was big, nice big bed, furniture is real wood and feels like you are living large, classy. You get a little fridge, which is nice. Our room even had a twin bed, You can use it in case your wife is snoring. Not her fault, getting over a cold or something. I cant forget the dogs, Bo and Jango. The dogs dont get in the way, you may not even see them but if you ask, Cindy will let them out. The dogs are AWESOME!!! We had been missing our dogs so we got to hang out with their dogs. The dogs are real friendly and dont mind how much you scratch and pet them, they love it. They have 4 cats, cant remember their names but the orange and white one likes to stare into the window, late at night like a peeping tom. If you go to the window he will slink off, kind of shady like but wait 30 minutes and he will be peeping again. You can always close the curtains, I guess. I would really recommend them, very nice, very comfortable place and a good price. Seriously, you can hang with the dogs as much as you want, highly recommended.

Thank you so much for such a kind and generous review. We are typically closed during this time of year, but when we received a special request from a friend, we decided open those shutters up early and boy, we are so glad we did. You and Jessica were so warm and appreciative of our home and yes, of course, our dogs. It did indeed feel like 'family' was staying with us and we truly hope you return. It's guests like you who make us love what we do!
