The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The food, whilst not “fine dining” was top notch “pub grub” standard and we had a very enjoyable reasonably priced meal. It was very busy and the staff were very apologetic about us having to wait a short time for service but we were not at all bothered. Our room was reasonably sized,...

What a lovely place to stay! From the outside it doesn't look fantastic but as soon as you go in you are met with great warmth and lovely service; the hosts were very keen to meet every need! The room was very clean and had everything you would need. The evening meal was excellent and the breakfast outstanding!

Went here with my partner and my two sons (13 & 15) on 25 Mar. We'd rang ahead to check they could cater for someone who needs gluten free food. On the night, we had the waitress running to and from the kitchen to check what the GF selection was and it's more a case of the chef changing ingredients....

Stayed for two nights and had a great stay. Rooms very comfortable and quaint (old plumbing a bit noisy). Very quiet pub and area ideal for walkers. Evening meals are good and at a reasonable price. Breakfasts are exceptional. All the staff are very friendly.

This is 5 star food by any ratings. The rooms basic but very very clean and most comfortable. The only drawback is the location!!!!! Satnavs have great difficulty with finding this inn. Suggest printing off directions on route finder first. Got in the...

We found the whole overall experience at the Crown Inn to be very good and it was lovely to escape the corporate feel of a 'chain' owned hotel. The room was good having an en suite facilities, a TV, WiFi and tea and coffee facilities. The whole atmosphere in the Crown was one off making sure the guest was comfortable....

We had an amazing short break at this country inn. We arrived in showy weather but received a very warm welcome by Dave. There was a roaring fire and lovely local ales to choose from. We were shown to room 2 which was so comfortable and full of character. We booked in for dinner which was truly delicious. The breakfasts...
