The hotel room was simple but perfectly adequately equipped and clean. The bed and linen were especially comfortable, and I had a good nights sleep.
The room could have done with a couple more electric sockets though (only 2 for the whole room).
All the staff are very pleasant at The Castletown Hotel. The rooms are more than adequate with a good shower and a comfy bed, and plenty of power sockets should you need them when travelling. Breakfast is excellent, fresh fruit and freshly made Scottish breakfast.
First visit to this hotel for a meal,meal was lovely,steak its self was well worth the money,staff and management were excellent,will be back,our waitress and her story of her 3 wheeler bike had us in stitches,keep up the work
This is an old town hotel and a little tired but they have obviously tried to keep up the state of the place. The staff are very friendly and the food is good quality. The speed of the wifi was exceptional.
A very pleasant stay for one night en route to Orkney and we enjoyed drinks and a meal in the hotel. Comfortable room although slightly "tired" like the rest of the hotel but very clean. Buffet breakfast was reasonable and staff service was average. Maybe...More
