We had a fantastic stay at this gem of a house! 4 couples stayed at Ballinterry House for 3 nights in July. We were attending a nearby wedding at Balleyvalone and we found this to be an ideal base, less than 10 minutes away. The house is stunning, very picturesque, beautiful and big. The entrance hall is very impressive with... More

We were attending a new years eve wedding at the nearby Ballyvalone House and did not want to be too far away, so we found the very conveniently located Ballenterry House some 3km away. It qualifies as a small mansion, built in the 1600's and once occupied by the actor Hurd Hatfield who played Dorian Grey in the 1945 Picture... More

We stayed here with 2 young children for 2 nights. Beautiful house. Lots of attention to detail. Ann prepared a fabulous breakfast including a request for porridge for the children, their favourite :) Children loved it, especially the horses. Beautiful setting. Very peaceful. I especially appreciated the port in the bedroom - just what you want after a long day... More

We were fortunate to have chosen to stay in Ballinterry House on the 7th and 8th June. Our purpose was to stay over for a wedding in the nearby Ballyvolane House. Ballinterry is a beautiful restored house set in rolling countryside. The house is run by Ann O Sullivan and her husband Michael. Ann was a wonderful host and you... More

We stayed at Ballinterry House in May for a wedding in nearby Ballyvolane, and the effect was like taking a time machine back two or three centuries while keeping all the comforts of modern life. Indeed, as I remarked that morning to Ann, I felt like we were in a Jane Austen novel, and Ballinterry should be used as the... More

We were recommended to stay here while visiting family nearby over Easter. Staying at Ballinterry House is like walking into your own grand Irish home! Beautifully appointed and decorated from the black and white marble tiled entrance hall to the large comfortable bedrooms, and en suite modern bathrooms with real power showers. Delicious fresh breakfasts served in the grand dining... More

Both my husband and I have just returned from a wonderful weekend away at Ballinterry House . I would love to keep Ballinterry as a secret destination for us both but feel that both Ann and Michael deserve all the accolades for the hard work they put into making Ballinterry a fabulous destination. From the moment we made the initial... More

My husband, daughter, son-in-law, 2 granddaughters (2 1/2 years and 4 1/2 years) and myself stayed here 3 nights during Easter week (2014) Anne is a very welcoming and gracious hostess and provided us with a wonderful candlelit dinner on our first evening and an incredibly delicious, full Irish breakfast each morning. Anne and Michael's home is so inviting. The... More

This place is amazing. My family stayed here to attend a nearby wedding in Ballyvolane House and I can honestly say that the house and hosts were truly wonderful. Thank you Anne for the great reception you gave us and the absolutely delicious breakfasts!

I had the absolute pleasure of staying here last night. Nothing about this place disappointed me, a genuinely warm hospitality, in a carefully restored house with exquisite taste in furniture and decoration topped off with the heartiest of breakfasts. The rooms are big and spacious with lovely little touches that set the place apart from other B&Bs and most hotels... More
