I actually enjoyed my stay here. The staff were very friendly and happy to have a chat and answer questions. Breakfast was very nice and plentiful. The room was quite comfortable. However, it's obviously been a while since any refurbishments were carried out, and the room was looking a bit tired. I quite liked Fermoy - a nice little place.

Passing by saw Hotel while passing over bridge, public car park out, so called for late lunch 2.30. Looked to have been very busy, several dishes on the board, but decided on chowder. Brought to the table once I had sat down, creamy with large pieces of fish, and two slices of soda bread with butter, Very tasty, good value... More

I was in a party of 4 who arrived after 9.30 without reservations for dinner. The staff could not have been more helpful, and although part of the kitchen was closed they produced 3 different main courses. All of them delicious. The staff could not have been more efficient. The garlic and the mashed potatoes with cod, and burger are... More

I had eaten here before and was happy with my meal but not on our most recent visit. We had dinner in the bar around 8 on a sunday evening. There is an offer if you purchase 2 drinks then it's buy one get one free on the main courses. Which sounds great!! It's not!! I ordered the chicken dish... More

Stayed here for work one evening. 2 for 1 offer on mains - great value for great food Breakfast was delicious and cooked to order My room was very small, window wouldn't open so became stuffy but bed was comfortable. I wouldn't recommend staying anymore than one night in the hotel.

Probably the worst trained staff I've ever seen in a restaurant or cafe. Stacks and stacks of dirty plates on empty tables and also tables with people on them. Went in asked for breakfast at 11:15 (finishes at 11:30) was told no. Finished. Got croissant and coffee instead. Watched breakfasts being ordered from difference staff and being delivered until 12:45.... More

A old fashioned but clean & comfortable hotel. Good for a one night stay. Breakfast, the only meal I had in the hotel was typical of other hotels, but is served to you rather than a self service option preferred by more modern establishments. The Blachwater river flows, no runs, past the hotel & it enhances the view, from most of... More

We recently visited the Grand Hotel in Fermoy to celebrate a family occasion. Two adults and two teens. The hotel had lovely charm and was very comfortable. We prebooked a table for four and on arrival were greeted warmly and promptly shown to our table. The dining room was clean and bright and the staff couldn't have been more friendly.... More

The Grand Hotel is well located, easy to find and excellent value for money. Myself and some friends were down for a wedding close by and we stayed for one night. Staff were very friendly and attentive on arrival and throughout our stay. The room was comfortable and clean with a nice double bed and good view of the river.... More
