Our rooms were clean, charming with lovely views. The food was DIVINE! I give this establishment only 4 stars because there was no proprietor on the premises during the daytime while we were there in June. In other words, you couldn't lay in and wander down for a cup of coffee in the morning (well they did have a pot... More

I think this is a destination place and not just a place to sleep on your way somewhere else. We stayed three nights. The decor is just lovely. Susan, the innkeeper, was very helpful and a pleasure to talk to. We had a lovely ensuite room that had a lovely view of the lake and mountains.

We had the Castlebane room which was a generous size and very comfortable. Very relaxing to sit in the lounge chair, look out the window and sip a wine. Views over the lake and outstanding. Complimentary wine was also very nice.

What a lovely, special place! Our bedroom, the Casey, had an gorgeous view over the lake and was clean, spacious and beautifully furnished. There were even a couple of bottles of wine welcoming us. Our breakfast the next morning was one of the best we’ve ever experienced. In fact, my husband said he had the best omelet he has EVER... More

This is a most hospitable and comfortable place to stay with an exceptional restaurant. The location overlooks the New Lake on the edge of the village - perfect for sitting in the garden with a glass of wine watching the sun go down. The room we stayed in had an even better view. It was immaculately clean and generously comfortable.... More

Stayed here with my wife for one night and loved everything from Beginning to end. A lovely warm welcome sees your bags carried to your rooms with lots of information about dining times and the local area. Beautiful evening meal, gorgeous view over the water and relaxed, friendly service. Had a local Donegal beer which was followed by some lovely... More

The mill is a real cut above most places in the area. The food is cooked to perfection and staff are mannerly, attentive and well presented. Location is stunning, as you can look out over the lake. We have been going there for the pat 11 years and are yet to find anywhere that could compare or compete. couldn't recommend... More

We are regular visitors to the Mill. Our most recent stay was last weekend. What keeps bringing us back is the warm welcome from the owners, Susan and Derek, the lovely accomodation and the wonderful food. Susan and the front of house team are unfailingly friendly. The guest rooms and public areas are comfortable and immaculately maintained. The food is... More

Now I am not normally one to use the word resplendent in a review but the welcome and attention to detail in both the accommodation and food in this establishment was fitting of such a description. The night we spent here was something I intend repeating.
