Ennistymon is such a pleasing small town in the heart of Clare. We were delighted to suggest it to another couple as a rondevu point. We agreed on Byrne's Wine, Dine and Stay who offered an irresistible rate for two double rooms including breakfast. Our room was spacious and pleasingly offered sheets and blankets rather than the ubiquitous quilt. Tea... More

We stayed the first two nights we arrived in Ireland and could not have picked a better place. This family owned and operated B&B and attached restaurant was wonderful. The family and their staff were accommodating and exceeded all expectations. We had help with our bags in and out. We were served breakfast the first day even though we missed... More

We were a party of 11, with a 16 year old, two 13 year olds, and an 11 year old. Sean Morgan, our server, was humble, funny, accomodating, and efficient. Food was filling and tasty. The evening we were there was the first evening of the 4 day St. Joseph's Festival and we were concerned that restaurants would be closed... More

Visited here for 2 evening meals on a trip away with friends. Food was lovely, staff really helpful and friendly. The terrace was great to sit and enjoy the surroundings with a bottle of wine, sadly the cascades were a little low but couldn't complain because of the amazing weather! Would highly recommend it

We are glad we chose Byrne's. A quiet town in May right next to a beautiful rushing river. The place is older so there is some charm to the rooms. In need of some attention, with all the things that occur in an older house in a wet climate. However, the rooms were good, the staff was excellent and the... More

Generous and spacious rooms with very comfy bed and large bathroom. Very high ceilings and large windows with great views. Breakfast was complete with homemade jams. Dinner of fresh seafood and home baked desserts added to the experience.

We stayed here the first weekend in November whilst we were visiting ennistymon. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the rooms were clean and spacious. Our room overlooked the 'falls' of ennistymon. The view was absolutely stunning. The breakfast we were provided with in the morning was the best Irish breakfast we have ever had! The quality of the... More

I loved Byrnes because of its Irish charm and character. Some people wouldn't want worn carpets or a climb up stairs to a room, but that's fine with me. The friendly service was great, the breakfast excellent, the bar a delight. Tables were full on the terrace overlooking the beautiful river cascades and we had several good meals indoors by... More
