Stayed for a night for an event in Birr. Lovely, comfy and tasteful room, quiet area, breakfast was hearty and hospitality was on point. Looking forward to staying there again in a couple of weeks time!

We only stayed here for one night. We were greeted by three very friendly 'lassie ' dogs.,and welcomed warmly by Alan who was standing in for his poorly mum. He offered us tea or coffee and made recommendations for local dining. Our room was at the back of the house with views over the countryside and distant hills. It was... More

I stayed here for 12 weeks for work from March until the end of May. Veronica and her son are very polite and made me feel very welcome. Nothing is too much trouble, she is a very nice woman who can give you great information on what do and where to eat and visit. The house is in a great... More

We stayed on night as we were meeting family for dinner in Parkers I Riverstown. Minnock's is a good bit out of town but taxi's are relatively cheap. Room was clean but a little dated. Breakfast was freshly cooked with plenty of food and good fresh toast and brown bread.

The hostess, Veronica, was extremely nice and helped me, a weary traveler, feel at home. To me it was a true authentic Irish experience. The Irish breakfast was really good. Nothing to complain about. Great hospitality.

This bed and breakfast is situated halfway between Birr and Roscrea it’s on the N62 but well set back from the road so quiet although we had a room at the rear overlooking fields. A warm welcome from the owner and her three dogs when we arrived and were offered a cup of tea on arrival and shown to a... More

Veronica made us feel extremely welcome on arrival, and settled us in with a pot of tea and biscuits. To be honest the welcome we received felt as though we had known her all our lives, and had popped in for a visit. The rooms were clean and comfy. I have never been a fan of staying in a b&b.... Location is fab and the 3 collies were always ready with a warm welcome too. Our room was twin bedded with en-suite and TV. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the room and Veronica... I stayed here as my son was playing in a golf competition in Roscrea and it was 15mins to golf club and 10 to Birr Golf Club Driving Range as there was no driving range at Roscrea G.C. It is nicely situated in countryside and the room was very spacious with television, tea/ coffee making facilities and wifi available. Breakfast... More
