My mum remembered staying here years ago and talked about how nice it was, so we went down and stayed one Friday night. The owner is so friendly and the accommodation is spotless and really comfortable! Breakfast was a buffet for cereals and cold items to start and when I say a spread I mean I've never seen such a... We were welcomed warmly. The owner offered us tea and cake on arrival. Our room was comfortable with a lovely view across the river. And as we hoped the breakfast was huge. This is an ideal place to stay between Dublin and Galway. We had an excellent meal in the restaurant opposite.

We were met upon arrival by Maeve, who brought us hot tea, coffee, and scones to revive us after a long bus ride. Our room was s huge with an equally spacious and spotless bathroom. By night we were lulled to sleep by the sound of the river rushing by below our window. Five minutes' walk from the main square... More

Stayed for 2 nights recently in this lovely B&B. Spacious, clean. very comfortable and well appointed room. Very convenient to the Castle and town centre yet set in a quiet location on the river bank with plenty of parking. Great choice of breakfast and the full Irish was delicious and would highly recommend it. Friendly hosts and very good value... More

The food and service at this restaurant was very ordinary at best. It was like some fast food restaurant and the food wasn't even what you'd expect at a fast food place. Definitely not value for money.

Without these reviews, this gem can be easily missed as it is somewhat hidden despite its size. It has plenty of parking - always a bonus. It is very large; it would pass for a hotel. Friendly hosts. Well furnished and good-sized room. Set beside a fast flowing river with lots of trees on the other side so nothing overlooking.... More

Solid B&B in an old Grain Malting building, right on the river. Wonderful greeting, comfortable modern room, nice shower/tub combo, excellent Full Irish Breakfast the next morning. Nothing to complain about here.

Although this is an older building, it gets the essentials right: very comfortable bed, adequate bathroom (for its price range), range of tasty breakfast options (and nice room with view on the stream); quiet location; good wifi. The seating is a nice touch, although there is no desk to work at. The weather was around freezing with sometimes strong winds;... More
