Briar Lodge is lovely. The rooms are tastefully decorated and the garden, lovely. The entire family was impressed with the hospitality and graciousness of the owner. Breakfast was delicious. She accommodated us a half hour early to ensure we were at the airport on time. We highly recommend the Briar Lodge. It is convenient to the Shannon Airport.

Our visit to Briar Lodge was at the end of a 10 day vacation. We had to fly out the next morning so it was short in duration. However, the Lodge was immaculate, the bedrooms were good sized, and the beds were comfortable. The proprietor was very nice and super helpful giving us information about places to eat and things... Convenient Bed and Breakfast for both touring Bunratty Castle and getting to the Shannon Airport. We enjoyed touring the castle and ate at a pub near there. Some of us took a taxi back but others walked back to the B & B. The rooms were clean and bright and the owner very helpful. Breakfast was very good and served... More

The house was placed in a lovely neighborhood with closeness to restaurant, pubs and a beautiful castle we unfortunately didn't have time to visit. We ate at The Creamary bar. A, from the host, recommended bar which was... More

Trish is a very lovely host. She made sure we were very comfortable and catered very well for our vegetarian breakfast requests! We had some lovely breakfasts for the four days we stayed! We spent our first night in Ireland here and it was perfect. This is not far from Shannon and would be a good place to spend time as you arrive from Shannon Airport or as a stay while exploring Ireland around Shannon. Trish is your host and can recommend quality restaurants and shops in the area. The breakfast in the... More
